Gay marriage isn't as simple as it seems (for some people at least).

There's the people that think that once you allow homosexual marriage, you'll then allow bisexual, and that could lead to allow polygamy.
There's also the whole thing about having children, adoption. Some say that a children has the right to have a father and a mother, and that for that reason, gays shouldn't be allowed to adopt.
Then, there's also some homosexuals that don't want of the marriage, and want a special thing of their own.

(This is not my personal opinion)

Those are slippery slope fallacy, bigotry and irrelevant respectively so it is about as simple as it seems really.

You'd need a pretty massive misunderstanding of what a bisexual is to fall for that fallacy too

There...there are? What could this be? And why wouldn't it be for straight couples too?

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Hoo boy, this thing? Ok, let's roll.
1. Is homosexuality immoral?
2. Is a sexual relationship with multiple people, who all have knowledge of and concept to this relationship, immoral?

Wait, do you mean it is or is not your own personal opinion.
From the double negative, you implied that you agreed with the position you were presenting, but you appear a little confused...

No. And No. Next question?
Normally people using the initial line of argument would say that polygamy is immoral, but for fear of their homophobia being publicly stated, they must concede that homosexuality isn't immoral.
From there you can easily point out that they are either being malicious by putting something they accept to be moral with one that is immoral, and using that logic to claim that both are wrong, or incredibly stupid not to see the distinction themselves and now that it has been shown to them they should have no problem with homosexual marriage.

If you have no problem with either, your not normally the kind of person to bring up this line of reason.

Highly amusing to me, when they selected a Mormon for president :P

Unless you're simply aware that it's a stance some people hold, and were pointing it out...  Don't really think there's cause for an inquisition here.

I personally find polyamory somewhat distasteful, following from sleeping around in general. I think I've got that cursed gnostic strain in me; I'm the sort of aesthete who wants the intense emotional side of sex but is somewhat put off by the carnality of the act. But the distaste of a pretentious artiste is no grounds to ban anything.

(Except possibly Brutalist architecture).
