So, who thinks the house will impeach Obama on 'something' in the next 4 years?

Well, a cadre of Republican House members have promised that if Obama authorizes a single new action or signs one new bill of any kind in relation to firearms they'll immediately launch the trial.  So my money's on it happening.

Clearly you are not a American. What you don't understand is that a very large fraction absolutely hate Obama. With a certain fraction of people trying to impeach Obama is only going to make them like you more. And those are the same people that the people who said they will try to impeach him need to impress.

They aren't a very large faction. Mostly only the Tea Party Republicans, who are a minority when you factor in the Democrats and non-psycho Republicans. There is an existent faction of reasonable opponents to Obama, they just tend to be ignored.

The point is: impeaching Obama can only hurt them. It will be preaching to the choir who would vote for them anyway no matter what, and it will alienate sane voters.

Their vote is not 100%. A crazier candidate could oust them in the all important crazy crowd.

It passed the republican held legislature, 43 to 18. It included a so called webster provision, in honor of the ambush on the first responders of webster new york. Shooting a first responder is punishable by life in prison, with no parole.

That's... actually kinda' worrying. What if you have no idea it's a first responder and you think you're defending yourself against someone that just violently broke into your house? What about cases where first responders are, well, told to leave and break in anyway?

And what are they going to do when folks start claiming to be first responders in order to get into people's houses?

Ehn. Anyway, got any solid links to what's been passed? Digging through all the news bullshit likely surrounding the story to find the text would probably be annoying

This is a good argument for not killing people who come into your house indiscriminately, yes
