Thanks for the advice ! It helps a lot !  :)

Concerning the char creation, would you mind showing me a character sheet of a level 1 character, just to make sure I made this right ?

Er well, I didn't mean that I expect you to be like. Doing anything strictly wrong (other then assigning xp, I would say that about half the people fuck that up their first time at least because it really is a confusing system to start at more then zero.) But rather that the failing at what they do more then 50% of the time seems quite bad. I can understand to a point what you mean, looking at it right on, when you have a guy with stats in the mid 30s to low 40s it can look like he fails often. But when you start stacking skills, perks, and most specially modifiers it seems strange to me that you would be so lacking.

Of course, that is for things the char is suppose to be good at. Other then combat (which is both easy and deadly in 40k) most chars tend to specialize into certain areas. Certainly the arms master might be failing his diplomacy more often then not. And I don't nearly expect every psyker to know how to drive a motorcycle. But on a whole I don't understand the failure rate.

If anyone is still interested in hosting a game, I'm still interested in playing :)

Hey guys, I haven't the slightest experience in any DM but am as interested in it as a mosquito to a lit bulb. I'm not asking to join, just wanted to know if there's a way to 'spectate' this sort of thing?

If you are interested in observing roleplaying games in general, there are a variety of recorded sessions around. Just google for podcasts and see Youtube for videos. Various online gaming places might allow observers too. Then to boot, there are various roleplaying game campaign chronicle sites, such as Obsidian Portal.

Many thanks, I feel like a tool for not just doing that in the first place :P I guess I was focused on what this instead of thinking a little more broadly.

I don't think a Space Marine could even fit inside a battlesuit, even sans armor. They're freaking giants, while Tau are shorter than normal humans :P

"WHAT? You would put one of the Emperor's most sacred warriors in a xenos-designed heretical machine?! The Inquisition will deal with you!"
