Tanistry succession has been kind of hit or miss for me. I didn't realize that counts got to vote as well, which makes it a whole lot harder to control voters, like you can with ordinary elective. In fact, I haven't been able to sway a single voter with bribes, which probably means they disregard your relation with them if you aren't their direct liege (every single duke voted for Arthur the Great's choice before he spoiled everything by imprisoning and executing the ones that weren't
his choice). On the other hand, it's supremely meritocratic, to the extent that the overwhelming choice of every lord in the realm was a (then) 4 year old genius living in
England Lancasterland. Hopefully that doesn't get ruined if/when he converts to Orthodox Frisian.
With a genius King in power I'll hopefully be able to have a secure enough power base to convert the lords of the realm to Orthodox and move to Turkish succession, which is clearly the best choice. I'll be able to groom multiple sons and select the best one from among them to give titles too (and succeed the throne).
I intend to put up maps and such in a little bit.
EDIT: So, that was a larger bit than I intended, but a few screenshots are up in the OP. I forget to get a save at the end of the session, so if someone wants to post one, I can put up some statistics as well.
A new version of the mod has been released. It contains some bugfixes(the mayor event I was having trouble with got fixed) and it should be compatible with the current version of CK2.
