Sweet!
Name*: James Cerritus, or "That crazy motherf**ker who bit me"
Gender*: Male
Diagnosis/Job*: Acute paranoid schizophrenia. Oddly, still somewhat functional and quite intelligent during very, very rare small bouts of sanity.
Appearance: Messy hair, dirty clothes with splotches of his own blood. Weird look in his eyes.

We need some staff, guys! As a sane Bay12er, I sppoint myself to the task.

Name: Dr. George Gerhardt
Gender: Male
Job: Doctor
Spoiler: Appearance: (click to show/hide)
Biography: Dr. Gerhardt always wanted to help people. He wound up here, "instead." He got an internship at the PRMA right out of medical school and worked his way up. Dr. Gerhardt mostly treats physical ailments, but over his 30-some years working at the Asylum he's learned a fair bit about mental illnesses as well. His greatest asset is his calm and detached demeanor; his greatest weakness is his aloof attitude. Dr. Gerhardt often points out that these two are one and the same.
Personality: Calm, intelligent, rarely surprised, sarcastic
Thats an oxymoron, Gold. You of all people should know, how many times you allude to our insanity and your supposed sanity.
Sane for a Bay12er.

So, since we have the right number of players, I suppose we'll begin soon! I'll write up a post in a bit and edit it into this one. Watch this post.
Oh dear. That means I'm the only staff member...

Don't worry, Goldie. I'm here for you.
Name: Ethan O'neil
Gender: Male
Diagnosis/Job: Intern(Mental hospitals have those, right?)
Appearance: Short red hair, normalish build. Wears a worn cloth jacket on top of a tee shirt, jeans and some old sneakers.
Biography: Wanted to make his way into medicine. Ended up here and surprisingly enough managed to not become completely cynical. Only slightly.
Personality: Reasonably cheerful, meek, prone to immense amounts of worrying.

Six people are sitting, standing or lying in various places in the common room. There's a half-working vending machine in the corner that only takes kicks, a large table for general "things", and various chairs and couches dabbled liberally. The decor is a desperate attempt at normality that is strained by the dried blood and vomit stains and the fingernail marks going down the hideous flower wallpaper that seems to be permanently stuck in the 1970s. A few orderlies are sitting around, occasionally trying to read a book from the bookshelf but mostly standing on by in case someone starts screaming about the demons and needs to be forcibly detained for a while.

What do they do?

Henry examines every person in the room, calculating their every movements while shifting into the farthest corner away from them.

(You only wait for a GM post for a contested action. Anything that requires skill or chance usually falls into a contested action. You can respond to social situations just fine.)

Dr. Gerhardt: Check people in the room for any ailments, then return to my office until I get a page or something. I'm not a nurse.

Henry gets up, walks a few feet, and sits down pointedly, with a scowl on his face and a twitch developing in his left eye. "Ever heard of personal space?"

"Sir Glove, why's that man hiding in the corner over there?"
Elena looks at the glove and nods her head a few times before walking over to Henry.
"Hi, Sir Glove and I were wondering if you have any money for the vending machine."
