As for the webroot thing, googling "webroot dropbox" brings up this blog post. I'm running webroot myself, and this alternate link is working for me.

When you have enough food, you get free population.

To extend on that, if you have twice as much food as you have pop, you will exchange as much food as you have pop, for one more pop.

Webroot is the antivirus software. Dropbox is the site that Webroot thinks is a threat. (And doesn't it bring up a "leave/do it anyway" popup for you?)
And like I said, my copy of Webroot thinks that the other link I posted there is okay. Give it a try.
