How do i get Labor? It seems I have people, but no labor, ever.

You get labor by having a city with a pop size of at least 3.  To increase that, click the + in the city screen.

Alright you two. Attempt to murder each other. Last one standing gets to participate in the next test.

As was explained earlier in the thread, labor comes from your cities, and size 2 towns don't produce any. A size 3 city (large town) produces one labor a turn, and a size 5 city (large city) produces two. A city with an engineer's guild produces an additional 1 labor. A size 6 city technically produces 3 labor, but because you can't get to size 6 without building an engineer's guild first, in practice every size 6 city produces 4 labor.

You put a free pop into a city in order to increase it's size.

Also, shameless linkage to the newest episode of this game, to be found here.

Did you have free population at the time?

[GreatWyrmGold] gets a little crown. May it forever be his mark of Cain; let no one argue pointless subjects with him lest they receive the same.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.
