My entire household (except the baby) got extremely sick from the baby's flu shot. Apparently, a flu shot can sometimes make you briefly infectious, according to the pediatrician.

Just wanted to share this nifty WHO page. Just look at your country and see the flu case climbing, climbing, into a neat exponential curve. :p

Apparently the US peaked 3 weeks ago, but we're still on the up-phase in Europe.

I dunno, there have been significantly less afflicted people during the last week of '12 than the week before, here.

Are you Dutch? Because that's not what the WHO say. It does seems to be peaking at different time though, Germany peaked already, but France is still getting sicker, with what look like another strain of influenza (From the B species).

This seems to suggest 5,643 deaths likely caused by flu as of 13th January.  There's an projection of 36,000 total which is pretty alarming.
