Sorry to let this drop. I'll add some more stuff later.

For now, comets

For those in the Southern Hemisphere: Comet Lemmon is coming to visit us for the the first time in 11000 years. Expected magnitude of 2-3*, which means that it will be visible with the naked eye (provided you don't live near any city, that is).
Oh, and from April it should be visible on the Northen hemisphere too.

Also in march, comet Pan-STARRS, which will be visible with the naked eye through march.
