I have been lurking this forum for years, and just made an account just to tell you how damn stupid you are.
Who the hell cares what I do in my single player games, dumbfuck? People like you should get shot.

Dude are you trying to get banned? We don't talk to each other like this on this forum. EVER.

I don't think he cares but still seriously uncalled for.  I disagreed with the person who started the thread too, but it didn't require me to throw around insults.  It really doesn't accomplish anything besides making people angry or feel bad about themselves so why do it?

That kind of speech is normal in most forums but Morgenrøde if you really have been lurking here for a year then you should have known better.

Making ten legendary axedwarves and retiring them at your fort would take considerably longer than just building a danger room and training ten legendary axedwarves on-site.

Yeah making legendary adventures is a pretty time consuming activity, at least in my experiences.  I don't really see it being any worse than some of the other methods of training super soldiers.

It's not time consuming to select demi-god and put all points into Axedwarf.  If we actually had to train them, i'd be fine with it.

EDIT: a few posts went through as I was making my account.
It's a single-player game.  You can make (and break) your own rules....
I think arguing over exploits and such is pretty moot when the game is singleplayer only......
I admire your retenue.
But seriously, what was going through this guy's mind when he made his post?
"oh wow im the first who thought 'bout that! toady will surely read my post and change his mind about the whole thing cos cheaters are bad!"
Degenerate.

Calling me a degenerate and acting like that?  People disagreed, and they made valid points which I didn't think of at the time of posting.  I think you need to take some sort of anger-issues course, instead of taking all your anger out on me for stating my opinion buddy.  Chill out, it's a game.

So, is there anything stopping you from just not doing it? I really don't see the problem.

It is a bit realistic, as unlikely as badass warriors all flocking to one city is, it's not impossible.

I know of a better exploit: traps! Narrow corriddor with weapon traps can make quick work of all goblin ambushes and most sieges, if followed by cage traps the fort is almost invincible (and boring). Wouldn't you consider self-repeating weapon traps and wooden cages capable of capturing huge beasts with 100% chance to be more of an exploit?

BTW, I never use danger rooms or coin showers (I didn't even know about the latter until a few days ago), and I can still train my dwarfs to legendary in any weapon skill very quickly just by pitting them against prisoners.

You could make a demigod dwarf and spend all your skill points on [hard-to-train skill], and set up your stats so that you have really high Agility* and Recuperation. Then start sneaking to your destination, either picking up a companion or cave-hopping or making border fires for during the nights. Then retire and become a citizen of the fort. 'Course, in the time it takes to do this, you might be able to train soldiers in the fortress. Or you might just die while on the journey to the fortress.

*or whatever this will become once movement speed and attack speed are separated.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

I was thinking to do this when the new versions kicks in. I don't think that is a more efficient training way, but having a military
of Megabeast-slaying retired Badasses it too cool to not do it, even if it takes to much time.

I was thinking more about getting shit-tonnes of food and drink and deliver it to a fortress to save it, not sure if items will be brought along with the adventurer migrant though.
