Just a quick heads up for everyone, there's some ridiculously skilled gamers doing speedruns and bizarre challenges to help raise money for cancer prevention right now.

Check it out and help support two awesome causes :)

E: There's a schedule here for those who are interested.

This is awesome.
'Nuff said.
That being said, the thread title is a little bit misleading/confusing.

Aye, cancer isn't a particularly great thing, whereas games are.

I guess I see it as
"Games are more important than cancer."

They're playing The Binding of Isaac right now. I think it's kind of funny that they're playing a game that can randomly screw you over in the name of fighting cancer (which is quite often just life randomly screwing you over).

TBoI expansion pack "Wrath of the Lamb" has a Cancer trinket. Fitting.

It makes you cry more and lowers the chance of hearts (health) dropping. It's quite a good, albeit morbid, item.

As for the schedule it looks rather cool. Bit disappointed to see a lack of Baldur's Gate II on there. The speed-run I saw of that game was just epic. Although my personal preference is to just watch these kinds of events on youtube having it split into a whole bunch of episodes. I just find it too hard to sit down and watch long gaming marathons.
