"Not really. I was on my ship, before I woke up on someone's roof, and apparently avoided some snipers. Um... I'm not in much trouble about that, right?"
Alaric waited for the Scanner to stop. He's used to such security scans. He sighs, glad he didn't have any actual contraband that he knew of on him.

"Generally, when someone performs an action such as running from the police or hiding from the snipers that protect the noble district, they are either idiots, new around here, or are involved with a crime. Now, I'm going to assume that you are guilty of the second possibility, with a possibility of the first. The story you told didn't render as a lie, so chances are, you aren't guilty of any crime. However, we will have to hold you in a cell for a day. You will have paperwork made for you and you will be released on the second day. Is that clear?"
Alaric's non-clothing possessions start dissapearring from him.


"My name is Lausonel Dgelii'en. What we're going to do now is retrieve the papers that have been made for you, allowing you to leave the building for short periods of time."

"Lead on, then. The sooner the better."

"I understand the terms. I guess I'll be staying here, for the night?"
After his possessions disappear, he sits down in the corner of the room, and waits till daybreak.

"Finally! I get to murd- I mean meet new people!"

The guard who brought the others out of their cell enters the room and grabs laric by the shoulder.


Lausonel slaps Bob and then orders them to follow her.

Alaric complies, and waits for the guard to lead him to the pit cell he'll be kept in.

Alaric is shoved into the cell the others were in previously.


Lausonel takes them to some sort of office. Walking to a nearby table, she picks up a pile of stapled sheets of paper. She walks back to the group she brought with her and distributes them. Finishing that, she leaves to go give Teceli's paper to her.


Teceli wakes up. She had been leaning against the side of her bed to sleep.

Look around the office, steal anything sharp enough to be dangerous, then fill out the form.

Sam sighs and fills out the form.

Alaric waits, wondering what will happen next.
Then, he starts humming.

Bob finds plenty of square and octagonal metal pens. How many does he want to grab? He also finds a decently-sized glass paperweight and a stapler. And some scissors.


Food is tossed down to Alaric. One square metal bowl full of meat. What kind of meat? Don't know.

Orichalcum also fills out the forms. Presumably.
