I rarely do +1, but I have nothing to add to xtank5 post except that we should start mining not only copper, but nice quality stones, too.  Oh, and stone road to the mining site should be nice

We would mine other stones, but the only ones we accurately know the location of is the copper.  Considering the deposit seems to be on stone rather than sand, a stone road would not be necessary.  Once the deposit is mined out, we could convert it to a base.
Isn't there a way we can determine ground and bed rock composition using like radio waves or magnetics or something?

If no one is using the survivor anymore Pyotr will try to rig the energy storage system for use with the solar panels. Every bit works, especially when we don't want to be too easily out of power.

Determine the day/night cycle, and figure out an energy storage and rationing plan suitable for the base's needs. Note for any possible extra energy resources

When we'll have energy problems, we may somehow add the ship to our system, but right now we produce much more than we need

Hmm, I can't think of anything to add to what's been proposed, expect to see if the wreck has any salvageable weapons that can be refurbished and put to use for defensive purposes.

except we can't start our smelter, and we don't even have a good way to power up it once every a few days for a lack of energy storage capacity.

Either we need an on-demand generator, or a sensible energy storage system.

I think Pyotr was just planning on running cables to/from the Survivor in order to interface it's energy systems with the colony's, not breaking the ship apart into its component systems.  I think that Pyotr's is a great idea as long as it has a quick connect/disconnect mechanism in case of emergency.

The solar power plant has a build in powerstorage of 200 units. (Each one lasting a day). No powershortages soon.

Anyway, why did we build the quarry near the sand?  We should move operations more to the west to prevent flows of sand from getting into the quarry.  Also, any improvements to the mining vehicles should be done to ones that we manufacture, in order to continue collecting resources.  We could take the current ones off production to improve them when we have replacements built.

Also, we should put the construction of an underground facility on the back-burner in order to collect resources.  Those are more critical than an underground facility to defend against sandstorms that may or may not arrive in winds strong enough to damage buildings.  Besides, whoever was in charge at the time chose a poor spot to build, if there is enough sand flowing in to be a problem, which makes it sound like the quarry penetrated the desert or is too close.
The only place that isn't near the sand would be the planet, which is about 300.000 km away. It's mostly the wind that is blowing the sand into the pit. After all, the entire planet is mostly covered by it.

Oh, and players only directly control their character. Basic suggestion games mechanics are in effect for the rest of the civilians.

Seismics or drill samples work pretty well for that purpose. Oh, and since it appears the layout is not that clear: Both the base, the quarry and the ore deposit lie on a partly sandcovered rocky plateau.

Good names for the planets, though they likely already have names. Nothing a good downhome new name can't fix though.

I'm proposing a trip to Lympha simply to pick up a large amount of water and edible aquatic plantlife I can grow. The protein sources can come later, I'm sure we have plenty proteins synthesized. A desert needs an oasis, after all.
The original names died with those who used them when most of the system was bombarded with all sorts of nuclear, kinetic and biochemical weaponry.

Just noting that the drone is just that, a drone. It's not going to fly independently between planets, and certainly not in a timely or resource efficient manner.

Oh... looks like we should expect fuel crisis (I doubt, that this planet have hydrocarbons) Should find another way to use the drone, at least as a stationary  facility

Do we have any means to store compressed gases? I can find one way - use empty fuel tanks of the cargo ship. They are designed to hold liquid hydrogen. Compressed gases is something, that we can sell. (and give that to the guys who escorted us here) Filtering out water and noble gases should be possible. Maybe power hungry, but we can afford that.  We are swimming in energy and can use that drone as a stationary facility.

BTW, what kind of atmosphere we have?

Well, fuel is a common denominator for multiple fuel types. Includes biofuels, hydrogen gas fuel cells and traditional fuels. So, ...

As for the athmosphere. It's mostly nitrogen, a little bit of carbon dioxide, a smattering of other gasses. Near zero hydrogen/water. Oxygen level is remarkably high at 40%. Nevertheless, due to the fact that the athmospheric pressure is only 0.35 A, breathing is still troubling. Kinda mountain climate. Survivable,but certainly not confortable. On a similair notem gravity too is only a fraction of normal gravity.

Is the sand a silica base? Would we be able to construct a pawnable glass? If not, would we be able to at least use the glass to make our own homewares? Art to sell?

I think we can adapt metal furnace to that. But I prefer metal producing
