Actually you can't even buy packs of cards with the micro transactions in scrolls, the only thing that you can use the paid currency for is the starter decks and 6 cards they pick every week. You also get gold really quickly so there is really no reason to buy the currency

Yeah but games of this type do one thing in common which is whenever they have an expansion they will add new boosters which cost money.

I doubt Scrolls would do this, considering they even sell skins for in-game currency.

I would so gladly exchange my beta access to CH for Scrolls... :(

The key is that you can still get the cards from the new booster packs the normal way... but the only way to guarantee cards from the new set is to pay real money.

Got into the beta after about 24 hours, game is very polished and I'm already tempted to do a month of the club after a few starter games.  How's the multiplayer matches? Can you do co-op?  How long does the campaign last.

1. Multiplayer is fun, but brutally unforgiving eg. you will run into first turn win decks ( but not that often), as the game has not been balanced for multiplayer.
2. No co-op as yet.
3. There are about 30 adventures, I went through it in about a week. After you finish, you open up quests - special challenges that involve completing adventures with certain drawbacks and limitations.

A slight necro!

Okay chaps, looks like the Card Hunter team is ready to expand the beta and is handing out keys to current players to hand off to friends. I figured The Bay12 community deserved first crack. I have 3 2 keys to give out, so feel free to PM me if you'd like one. I'll probably reply in the morning (EST). I imagine other players have also received keys, so maybe they'll be kind enough to post em here.

Dear god who even eats this much pizza.
All siliness aside, it seems like a really great game. Definatly looking forward to learning more and hopefully some challenging strategizing.
I'm trying some casual multiplayer right now, if anyone is game.
