I think it’s for the better.
BFD (before dwarf fortress)
- I was your average nerd, not terribly well informed about the ways of the internet, still thinking that it was a bunch of random "trolls" who flamed about random stuff, IE- the internet was you-tube.
- I thought that nerds were focused on minecraft.
- I thought that hardcore MW2 players were gamers in thier own right. (oh crap i'm hating, pardon that)
- I preferred Linux to mac and mac to windows.
- I was a perfectionist, not a normal perfectionist, but the type that restarts a game when I lose 1 health
- I was worse at spelling. (if thats possible) and i cared a whole lot more about it.
- I was slowish at typing. (30 WPM)
- Data= binary
- I thought that I, as an American youth, didn't have a great life.
- I thought that if i didn't make my way through college i was to be doomed as a failure.
AFD (after dwarf fortress)
- I am what most (those who are not nerds) would consider, the most Hardcore (lifeless) nerd to have ever lived because i dont think that the internet is all a bunch of dumbasses, just smartasses.
- I now know that everyone on the internet is a troll. but that they all have purpose, even if the purpose is to be a dumbass.
- I consider graphics to be a waste of time in video games
- The nerds who obsess about minecraft are wannabes, initiates, possible apprintices.
- I am now somewhat of a masochist.
- Data = ASCII
- I now detest windows and macintosh for hiding all the beautiful ASCII
- I am no longer a perfectionist.
- my life will be great as long as I am not caught in a "cloud of creeping ash," rotting alive and being attacked by zombie poultry; even then I will be apreciateing the challenge and giggling at the irony of anticipating the "legends" record that I have made.
- I now can type at about 50 WPM.
- If i dont make it though collage, so what? I can still succeed. not that collage is now unimportant
there is no such thing as no life, it will all go down in "legends"
