Ajaicaet government is based around multiple houses (Broods more realistically considering a house is all one family) providing representatives to rule in republic fashion. To prevent inbreeding males are often documented for their broods produced and traded in between houses. Each house has a different attitude for dealing with things but the most common is able bodies and clever individuals lead from the top seeing as when an Ajaicaet becomes old it loses mental dexterity rather quickly along with physical alacracity. The elderly are often used to speak of cycles past shortly before death grips them.

Most arguments are won with a test of intimidation, show, or possibly an all out brawl. Within each house the ruling system is primarily tribal, each sister, or mother competing with each other within their generation. This makes sure that the strongest and most competent continue. Eugenics is definitely in effect.

Across the board science and tech are items of faith. One must light the incense, say the prayer of animation, and only then can they activate their cruisers systems. Each section of the ship, using different rituals to perform each task. Every ship has a resident Navigator to oversee all ritual. Minor tech can be used with only a short prayer or less. Most large events (battles, commissioning, victories, etc.) are precursors by ceremony of one sort or another.

Also, it's unified, not united subtle difference. United implies cohesion, and voluntary alliance. Unified means they work together when they have to, but not otherwise, under a single group/person.

Different thread. It's leaking. Also, Kakt weaponry is based on sound, electricity, and torpedoes, at least under water. Submarines and swimmers(like walkers, but they swim, they don't walk). Above water, gauss weaponry, missiles, and lasers are used(sonic too, sometimes), with multilegged(not two) walkers and low-riding tracked or wheeled vehicles being common. Explosives are an essential part of all warfare(especially effective underwater, so they'd be used out of water). Never really bothered with firearms; by the time they discovered them, they were past that level of tech. Rail-guns are not typically used, being unreliable and dangerous(overheat and wear out like you wouldn't believe). Drop pods to land vehicles nad machinery onto the surface of planets are often used, or more sleek needle-like ones to enter the water(too big of a splash is BAAAD). They're already adapted to space travel quite a bit, the low Gs and all. Space weapons tend to be boarding pods, missiles, gauss weapons, and lasers. Their equipment tends to include a lot of microphones and headphones, or the equivalent, as a voice-command system is about on par with a touch screen, for them. Headphones allow them to monitor equipment using their better senses.

They don't like to fight. That doesn't mean they don't. Tactics in battle often include a lot of changing formations and shifty maneuvers; just as human commanders make use of stealth and the unknown to prey on our natural fears of what isn't understood, Kakt use the persistence and consistency of other of their kind against them.
