Also, how can a race of infighting crows who are too proud to stand each other collaborate on tech? I'd expect the Ariochs to do it, but just barely, and still not have the support of the rest of the Corax.

Still, bloody hell, it was just an app. It wasn't meant to start a heated discussion.

EDIT: And now I shall turn them into slightly more modern people. With more grimdark.

Hmm. I feel that I should write more. Okay.

The Jairaekt practice a strange science based zealousism, lighting ancient pyres with blue torches of plasma and choosing to fight and kill with staves of magnificent alloys in ceremonial fashion. Scientists are revered often being thin and lanky, their shells spotted with a blue gray, similar to smoke, pattern with short, thick tufts of black hairs and considered priestly and mysterious.

Assassination is considered legal as long as it is practiced with no ill blood using the proper bureaucratic channels, and paying the debt of course. This practice is as ancient as the cycle of war and is how every cycle begins. A massive amount of assassinations are committed between houses beginning a war.

Precision and capture is stressed, most wars result in little structural and informational damage due to specific methods of architecture and datacaching seeing as no one wants to wipe out everything. This practice carries over into most tactics in combat, trying normally to capture the enemies ships, colonies, or stations, rather than obliterating them, most would in fact consider this action rude and worse than retreat or decimation.

Consistent overcrowding has made the push to leave the planet very strong in the last century leading to the discovery of ftl. Small arms are very progressed but ship to ship weapons (beyond the suicide cannon) are few and far in between. That is to say they are not popular, these technologies occur but only in specific occasions have heavy mining equipment and scientific machines been repurposed fir destruction. These cases have been archived and could be used... If the situation absolutely required it.

I'd think he'll give it another day for submissions before opening up the vote, we still got 4 empty slots for civilizations.

The gentle pressure you feel on the back of your head is normal, and will go away soon along with all those other bad things, like pain, sorrow, life, hunger. Are we not kind?

Say, what will happen to the races that don't get chosen?

Some kind of space-elves

Name race: Humans

Name Empire: The Life order

Capital name: Vitality battlestar

Description Race: Humans, but highly adapted for living in zero or low G gravity,  thin and elflike in complexion

Description empire/society:
The order started like Greenpeace in space, but slowly it became more and more radical and transformed to a very strict religion with harsh eco friendly laws like:

1) No planet should be colonized by the members of the order. Mining or removing biological material isn't tolerated either. That's equals with messing with the Creators plan on that planet. Only asteroids and smaller objects are fine
2) No creature should be killed for food. Including plants and bacterias. Only synthetically produced or recycled food is acceptable.
3) It's acceptable to recycle any available organic material for more food. Including cannibalism
4) Low tech civilizations should be left alone as long as they are limited to one planet. If they left the planet, they should be educated to respect the laws of cosmos

Surely, not all members of the empire respect that laws, but inquisition-like structure exist

As such, the order lives in ships. Some are huge, made from many united asteroids, some are as small as a bus. Every ship considered a fief of some feudal

Power structure: Feudalism
Every ship is ruled by some nobleman or priestman, with a strict feudal system, from knights owning the smallest ships to the emperor ruling from a mighty battle-star

Power: Monarchy, Theocratic councils, Guilds.

NONSENSE.

ONE HUMAN RACE EXISTS.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ANSWER.

Intra-civilization trial by champion.

Don't be, THE PROELIUM EMPIRE SHALL CRUSH ALL.

Your execution will be swift but not without pain. Will you be so proud when your blood paints our vessels? Your skins will line the cabins of our lieutenants quarters, how strong will you feel? Maybe there is reason to be proud, after all, some of you will be lucky enough to gaze on some of our holiest creations. Live sacrifices are always in high demand.

Your leaders will kneel to even our loweliest nurturer, because we will cut them down at the knees. I look forward to seeing your vessels in my skies... and then seeing them from the inside as I polish your bones. Your skull will make a fine pauldron.
