I always pictured skeletons with a thin coating of stuff to hold them together and provide mobility, but not enough to form a more complex organ system. Though now I'm not sure how that would work, canonically and all.

I think that's how they are described in-game. I know there briefly was an idea of refluffing them as burned so badly the meat came off the bone, but it seems it didn't happen.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

I believe skeletons are just seriously... malnourished zombies, for lack of a better word. Imagine a person zombified... now reduce them to skin and bones so much that they are basically a skeleton.

The actual in-game description even says this: "With its skin so tight the cracked bones are visible beneath it, covered in scar tissue and coils of scabbed black liquid and with eyes so deeply sunken into its skull they are barely visible, it's a wonder this once-human creature can move at all. "

Then... instead of being called skeletons, shouldn't they be called skeletal zombies? If they're not actually even skeletons...

Here's the way I've always seen zombies:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So it's basically a skeleton that is powered and held together by nothing much but goo and some last remnants.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

For some reason that doesn't really fit with me just because arrows fly through skeles so easily.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

I'm pretty sure they have the HARD_TO_SHOOT tag, which halves your chance of hitting them with any ranged attack. While I do think they would be harder to hit than normal zombies, I do agree - they probably shouldn't be that hard to hit.

Need to ask, every zombie/robot/animals east of my base has just gone missing with-out a trace of them being killed so I need to ask if this is a known bug or if I got to go hunting for a super boss that can kill riot robot and turrets...

Edit: Also got to ask if there is a way to heal a broken arm faster then wearing an arm split because it has been 1.5 week since I been wearing it and it still has not healed up

I think Tawarochir meant that in a nicest comedic way, really :P
'I'm pretty'[/affirmative].

I'm quoting that.

Also query on the latest C:DDA, are there any random crashes like before (which sometimes come out of nowhere?) ._. or, common crashes anyway? Just curious about it, though I love how its developed.

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. The mistake was kind of funny the way it was written. :P

Anyway. I have a question for all you game vets out there: I've heard that wearing a filter mask prevents you from catching diseases (including the common cold and the flu.) Is this true? :V

I believe so. It'll stop any[Besides possibly poison gas and fungus] foreign particles from entering your respiratory system. Which includes diseases. This actually works IRL, Alan Turing used to wear a military gas mask to prevent himself from getting hay fever in spring[Which is one of the many reasons he is awesome]. Although you have to be the kind of person who's able wear a gas mask for a few weeks straight just to spite microorganisms.

I've worn a mask through multiple seasons without ever taking it off and caught a cold.
