Quit editing quotes Tawarochir... For in no way, shape or form did I facepalm upon seeing your comment and edit the thing.

I managed to accidentally burn down my safe house.

A spoilered image of my destruction :(
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I had just enough time after noticing to grab my shotgun, my katana and get out with burned legs.

So much stuff was lost :(

Alright, that probably means that the binary file is named something else, or wasn't generated. See if you can find it, and if you can't, try clean and make again.

If you have a shovel after it burns out you may be able to go digging through the rubble and retrieve some of the less combustible goodies.  Will definitely need a shovel though, I've noticed you can't get items out of wreckage and rubble anymore unless you use a shovel to unbury it first now.

Hmm I think I did spy a shovel in a fire station in the south.  It would mean a perilous journey and for now I need to find a new base but maybe there will be some salvage.

Oh, so that's why dead zombies disappeared on rubble tiles when I killed them. Lost some potentially nice survivor stuff to that. Maybe things that are dropped onto existing rubble tiles should not be swallowed up by them?

Easier said than done, IIRC.  It's come up before.

Just imagine it like when yer standing next to a street runoff grate and drop your keys.  It's like that, except for rocks and metal wreckage, bottles of mutagen, batteries, CBMs, welders, and a sentient gaping maw that actively devours everything  with a loud "ohm nom nom" and a belch to spite you.

The belch volume of course is proportional to the value of the item lost.

And I just now noticed that vehicle wheels now damage items they run over.  I always thought that would be a nice touch.  Does it damage the wheels too?

Yeah, current code supports "everything is disappeared on this tile" or "nothing is disappeared" but doesn't have any way to go in-between.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

That movie went viral a few days ago - I've seen it just about everywhere.

I'm a bit skeptical whether bows would do much to zombies, though - most arrows lack the mass to break a spine or obliterate brains. Puncturing internal organs isn't much of a problem for zeds. I guess it depends on the mechanism of reanimation.
