What sort of store has a load-bearing wall on the front facing the street!? All it would take is one drunk driver to demolish the whole building! All I did was take out a human sized hole right next to the door, which is itself a human sized hole. It should have been fine there if anywhere.

Maybe you'd like to take it up with the store owner?  He's in the parking lot, that one green smear.  What do you want you started demolishing walls because you were too lazy to go back through the other wall you demolished!

You can also do that to move furniture around.

I'm finding the my character is getting tired too easily. I went to bed around 7:30PM, woke up, started walking to the nearest town(about 2 hours), and get Tired along the way. I eventually went to sleep again at 7:30, woke up at 5:30 the next morning, went to sleep and woke up well-rested at 1:30PM. Damn, that was most of a day lost.

I'm also having trouble getting piercing skill. I had been using a wooden spear(several, actually, I throw most of them), and later a combat knife, and I keep getting bashing with the spear, cutting(and some bashing) with the knife, and apparently only getting pierce skill with a critical hit.

Well, for one, throwing them only increases your throwing skill. :V

Two, maybe try a knife spear?

I seem to recall reading that you'll need to level piercing first before anything else or the game will keep using bash or cut even for piercing weapons.

Anyone know why one would use a ram on a vehicle rather than just using the normal frame/armor/panels?
It seems to break faster as it takes all the damage rather than spreading it.

I imagine that's exactly why you'd use a ram. Absorb all the impact so the important parts of the vehicle don't get hurt. It's easier to replace a ram than fix the entire front end of a vehicle.

Yeah, normally when you hit a shrub, all damage propagates directly to your headlights and solar panels.  Having a disposable front end means non of your important bits get hurt.

When this happens, try disabling the bashing and cutting skills, and maybe even the melee skill. The game's priority in combat skill gains gets kinda awkward, if a bit frustrating at times.

Yeah, if you open up your character menu with @, you can scroll over them and hit enter to disable training.

Keeps your focus from getting wasted on a skill you don't care about atm.
