Is it possible to use the blood centrifuge for anything? I want to get my post-apocalyptic sleuthing on but can't really seem to do anything with the first piece of science stuff I find (apart from a stem cell machine which appears to have done nothing but temporarily melt my bones).

Ah never mind, I found the problem. The actual centrifuge appears to have been smashed up by a zombie. A big pile of copper wiring and steel in the corner tipped me off.

I just remembered that you can fuel an Internal Furnace with logs. Just cram 'em down your throat, I assume, like a sword-swallower, only the swords are giant and wooden. Unless it's a hatch somewhere, in which case you've got, like, a ten-inch hole in you somewhere.

Well, considering we have an Internal Storage CBM (basically a little safe in your chest cavity), putting a large hole in yourself for any purpose isn't out of the question.

Still, I find the image of a survivor shoving various random objects down his throat much more amusing.

I now imagine DDA Cyborgs as the ReMade from New Crobuzon.  Most of the CBM's are just jury-rigged technology and magic stolen from spoilers.   Some are just sticking a brazier and mini-steam turbine inside a person.  Others give you magic claws or shields.  They're all hideously poorly tacked together and they're more misery than good, even when they work.

Well, considering you can't eat while you have the furnace on (right?), it makes sense that it's basically using your throat and stuffing it into a second stomach, one that provides electrical power rather than chemical/biological power.
