Because the listed material is "stone" even though the "diamond" material does already exist (applied to diamond katana and similar).

Perhaps it's merely a holdover from older versions without diamond weapons? Looking at the item browser, it seems that only the diamond katana, knife and machete have that material.

So. Uhh. My 95 day old character was approaching a fema camp and it started to go night, so I pulled out my night vision goggles and put them on. And instantly went from full torso health to dead torso health.

I have no goddamn clue what in the ever loving fuck killed my character. The only hints I have from the death log is I was deafened, somehow heard a kerblam and then I get caught in an explosion, and my leather trenchcoat evaporated. Oh, and I was in some metal wreckage in the middle of a road next to a FEMA camp when it happened.

I even had the torso alloy plating CBM installed.

I'm on then fence about cheesing the character back from the dead because screw you literal no exaggeration one turn kill.


EDIT: After resurrecting the save, I couldn't find what killed me. Although near the entrance to the fema camp there was a blockade with a military truck and corpses, but it was three or four map tiles away from my death.

Saves are quirky sometimes. Did you carry a lit lightstrip or something?

No. The only light I bring anywhere is the aforementioned night vision goggles.

No. A square can't spawn metal wreckage and mines both. Plus I was standing still putting on night vision goggles.

Well I'm buggered if I know unless there's rocket turrets or tanks with infrared vision.

After an initial NPC explosion I turned them back off, there isn't one for miles, I carry no grenades other than an occasional EMP.

At this point I'm pretty sure Jesus sniped me with an explosive .50cal for being a dirty NPC murdering sinner. Jesus can see in the dark right?

At least in my version, if you die to a turret in a lab, all turrets on that level mysteriously vanish into thin air. So yeah, saves are finicky bastards. I suspect this was more likely the 'ninja bug' where the game suddenly decides to kill you for no reason.

BTW, after my first run-in with Tank Drones, I REALLY wish someone could add an official 'No Tank Drones' mod. Dying to them just feels cheap as fuck.
