RE: Everyone giving advice

That helps a lot. I DOES hass a screwdriver. I thought I looted the town thouroughly. I was wrong. I left what was nailed down. I am going to rectify that with extreme prejudice. No garages or electronics stores or pawn shops in the town. Its pretty small. Which makes it pretty easy to clear. So no zombies either.

EDIT: Apparently you CAN turn fur into leather with a sharp thing, at least in the version I have..

EDITX2COMBO: I HAVE A SOLDERING IRON! AND IT IS GLORIOUS! Not that I know enough electronics recipes to make much more then an electrohack and a few other doo-dads, but still.

Need help with my solar farm. I placed 2 frames next to each other, one has a storage battery, one has an upgraded solar panel. I have been reading and crafting while it is in my reality bubble for days now, plenty of clear days, but not a single % has been filled. Don't know why, need this power if I am going to start making more farms. But I fear that they will also not work.

Is it set on the surface and outside? That's the only thing I can think of.

Here we go again. I go to the basement of the evac shelter.
Turns out there's a mugger with a flamethrower who won't take "Yes" for an answer. I bail out of the room with 1 head health to spare, just to get picked off by random feral hunter breaking in.

Flamethrower-point mugging sounds like a somewhat ineffective kind of mugging.
A flamethrower's a bad choice for close range combat.

"Give me all your stuff or I burn the entire building down on us! Wait don't run, I'l really do it!"
"Suppose I could part with a vial of zyme [NONDESCRIPT DRUGS], if you'll give me the flamethrower."

As far as I can tell. I built it outside a mansion.

Just because the way you phased it, I have to ask... You didn't build two separate vehicle frames did you? They are indeed attached together?
I haven't been into vehicles for a full version now, but I do know that you could have separate vehicles parked together without fusing. (a la wreckage)

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

Solder and plastic might fix a battery?

Tried playing as a Maid recently. Grabbed the Stylish trait so I'd get awesome morale bonuses, walked outside with my pipe and was immediately mauled by zombie dogs.

Hm. I forgot what a jerk this game can be.

I hate turrets. I suspect my gear really isn't up to dealing with that many bullets hitting it. And I need a forge to make better stuff. And I need a wrench for that. And I need a forge to make a wrench. Catch 22. Or maybe its just my melee playstyle forcing me to take several hits just getting close enough to violence it. Although my new found spider mutations[Specifically, chitinous skin] actually deflect a fair amount of bullets at medium range. I can deal with most everything else in the Science Lab. Hulks, no problem. Manhacks, a bit more of a problem. Zombie Scientists, usually fine. Whereas one encounter with a turret has me running back to base to have my regeneration mutation heal me back to full. It really doesn't help that the reduced perception due to pain has me running into landmines on my way back. I've actually ended up at : Torso health from a particularly bad run. Thank god for lucky healing mutations[And, by extension, the purifier that removed the unplayable combination of Herbivore, Fast Metabolism and Hates Vegetables. That last one SEEMED like a harmless negative trait at the time.]. Although the newfound discovery that I can improve metal and plastic things with my new soldering iron should help my durability a lot.

Turrets are a very good example of the fact that you don't have to fight every enemy in the game. In a science lab, just close the door to the room it is in if you can't deal with it. Additionally, never melee turrets. They might deal serious damage before you get close enough, and even if you do destroy them, they'll explode and deal more damage to you.
