I always loved the Left For Dead approach to the Apocalypse. Because it isn't one. You're just really unlucky and didn't get out. Rest of the world is fine, they've got a vaccine, everyone is a-okay.

Except you.

You can see the mass graves at FEMA camps. They're these huge, 20-tile or so wide things labelled "corpse filled pit". I'ts kinda scary when you think about how many corpses can fit into an individual spot in Cata.

On one hand, I can imagine that, say, when you need to gun down a crowd of them, no one would think to butcher them, and they'd come back to get you, but yeah, eventually they'd prolly drop napalm on them. Maybe the chain of command wasn't expecting it and got offed too or something.

'sides, they don't exactly work like the most common zombie type, what with special mutants, no headshot-kills-irreversibly (not always, that is)...

There's some crazy shit going on in the labs in the latest experimental. Some rooms spawn hordes of scientist+bio operator+manhack+skitterbot.

So, uh.... is there a way to convert an open window frame to a door? or... actually remove it? I'm looking to convert a dining room in my mansion fortress into a garage, but the jackhammer is messy and leaves these shovel-immune piles of rubble everywhere that block sight, and empty windows refuse to be drilled. =\

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

You can't disassemble empty window frames.

You can however turn them into wooden walls than smash those down to dirt than build a roof than build a door.

Is there anyway to get this game running on Mac OSX Snow Leopard? I've tried running the terminal version and attempted to play the windows version through wine but neither work.

I seem to remember hearing some other problems involved with this same thing (something related to SDL 2.0 IIRC). After quite a bit we wren't able to fix the problem, but for that particular person upgrading to OSX Mavericks (which is free and works on most Snow Leopard computers, as long as they have an Intel chip instead of PowerPC) fixed the problem.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

But how do you get the indestructible rubble out of the way?

ATM the debug menu is the only way due to it not decaying properly.

So, playing classic zombies with spawn rate turned up to 4 makes for fun times.
Even staying in the wilderness for days to build up equipment and skills these zombies are a bitch to mow through.
