I'm almost sure it's Meese. Like Goose and Geese.

Moose is a New World native word, and as such it was adopted into English well past the linguistic changes(I-mutation, Great Vowel Shift) that led to goose/geese forms. Its plural has largely resisted change by analogy, so it remains moose.

some of the rooms have turrets. If you see a turret in a room, you can 'c'lose the door before it targets you and it won't shoot. But don't try to get close, the best way to deal with a turret is with explosives or slug rounds, and from the sounds of it you won't have either.

Make a drill tank that is thin, 99% heavy frame and military composite armor, built in a nearby subway, get up to speed in the subway and smash yer way through the rock or lab sewer access into the lab itself then run over the turret.
