Last I heard 0.10 is the next version.

I think that's actually what should be done. Making it 0.10 messes up trying to order the versions.

Also, I delete every world when 1 character dies.  Is this unusual here?
That's what i always do.

Yeah, me too. I don't like the possibility of running across an old character's stash and having it ruin the challenge of the earlygame.

Stashes are like reclaim/succession forts.

Trying to go with a martial arts character, and getting kind annoyed that my guy automatically wields weapons/tools when he picks them up, even if he has plenty of space in his inventory. Any way to toggle that off?

How the heck do I tear stuff into rags? I can't figure it out.

I'm also trying to armor up my fingerless gloves, but I can't do it even though I have enough scrap metal and a sewing kit.

1) Activate a knife or similar cutting element

2)You have to learn te recipe. Otherwise, you can just make it sturdier with rags, but not making it into armor.

'a'pply knife/scissor then pick the thing you want to tear up.
reload the sewing kit if you have the thread, Take off the gloves if you are currently wearing them and you need a hammer/rock/hatchet

If you need to repeat a task a few times then weld the knife/sewing kit/bandage and use A.
You can put a knife in to your boots, just use your boot to get the pop up.

Sewing kits (found in houses) and bone needles (craftable from bones) both can be used to repair and improve clothing made out of cloth, leather, or fur, if you have a supply of thread and (depending on the damage) a supply of that material to use as patches (rags, leather patches, or fur pelts, if I recall properly).  You'll need decent tailoring skill to accomplish this, especially with more damaged clothing (shredded or tattered), though, since flubbing the attempt badly enough can damage the clothes further or even destroy them if they're already tattered, so it can be helpful to practice your stitching on clothes that you don't plan on actually using first.

EDIT: Added locations.
