I can imagine your character angrily reading the word 'Voulge' in a book and realizing he'd carved it wrong on his weapon.

I always enjoy ringing my areas with landmines if I can. Makes a good alarm system.

Edit: Does anyone know how the hell to make vehicle turrets work? Do I drop ammo on them? They're activated in the vehicle menu, there's power and gas in the vehicle, and I think the guns are facing the correct directions [if they even can face the wrong ways] but my turrets refuse to do anything. I've tried dropping the appropriate ammo on them akin to normal turrets but I'm kinda stumped. Is it manual fire or something? And yes I've tried driving near hostiles.  :P

Turrets have cargo containers, so you should fit an appropriate ammo type in their storage.

I have another video up for CataDDA and I look at a few of the tilesets. Here is a link to the video. I start by looking at Thuztor's Boardgame Tileset then spend the last half checking out that one along with Waldo's Tileset and Mattamue's as well as using my current tileset of choice, HRose's ASCII/Retro Tileset. Here is a quick composite picture of them all that I used as my videos thumbnail:

Ran into a colony of worms. The little pink worms aren't that bad, but the graboid apparently likes to aim for the head, and I took the glass jaw trait. It was like Dune, only with more acid rain and less sand.

I really like the ascii/retro tileset(s)(?) currently in development, but when I tried to use one, it came out so dang small (I believe it was 7x7) that I couldn't stand looking at it because it had no legibility at a glance.

With fonts you can increase the size, but can you make the tiles in a tileset bigger?

I just realized that I haven't played since Whales's Cataclysm, except maybe one or two of the early versions of DDA. I need to fix that...

EDIT: Fired it up. All the changes since the last I played are... utterly fantastic, to say the least. I'm a little in over my head trying to relearn everything, but I like this!

Same here, inEquality. Hmmm, is there a rough record of changes anywhere, perhaps a wiki? Otherwise I'll just jump in.

The ASCII/Retro tileset by HRose should be 10x10. Of course that could seem small as well so not much to do about that. You can't just make a tileset bigger as its a actual picture rather then a font which I believe is a vector based system and can be sized up with no problem. Basically it is the same problem as taking a small picture and blowing it up with some image editing software. Now there are some bigger tilesets out there but I can't go into detail right now as I have to leave the house and go into town for a bit but maybe when I get back I can help further.

There's really WAY too much to compare to Whale's.  You might consider "Let's see what's new" but you should really enter DDA thinking "Let's play a brand new game."

Thank you. I didn't know of Waldo's Tileset before this post. And I really love it. I mean REALLY. Also, it's interesting how it differs from the style of the rest with a more parched, deserty look rather than the (cool as well) gray-green of Deon's.
