Trully his wandering is an epic quest for with each step he spins as if a ballerina or a top

So, Sufism is finally implemented then?

Now I want this too. Cataclysm has always lacked Sufism. Seems so obvious in retrospect. That'd be a trait that'd work like a "passive martial art", you'd wear it instead of wield it, and it would provide...it would provide...eh...

Fear the day I try to learn to mod.

They eat any monster they come into contact with, don't they? Seems like a good way to get rid of a Hulk or Jabberwock to me.

One thing I could think of is instead of wearing it what happens is that when you are not too encumbered and using martial arts it provides armor to various parts of the body depending on the style. Also on the other side is that maybe some special clothing and armor items could enhance martial arts styles like wearing arm guards would make it easier to block melee attacks or something. Though I think it would have to be specific items and not just "arm guards" as while generic things are able to take a normal hit having them specifically being used to block would probably need sturdier crafting and maybe a special design depending.

There's been a major change to martial arts in the experimental- no more martial art quasi-items.

Arm guards do help when you're using a martial art that deflects attacks to your limbs. (arm block, leg block)
That is, they provide armor.

Hulk would beat ooze in a fight, but the ooze can keep them occupied to buy more time.

I've run into a bug with my funnel: when I 'a'ctivate it, the game place a funnel on the ground but I still have the funnel in my inventory, thus giving me infinite funnels. Got the same problem with bear traps.

This was made with a single funnel.

I'm running 0.8-1878-g07b171b, I don't know if it's been fixed in the latest experimental.

Oh, and did someone fix the bug with items changing inventory letters?

Edit: Nevermind, switching to latest experimental solved it.

I was under the impression that oozes converted any monsters to more ooze, which would make the hulk a lot easier to deal with. If that isn't the case, then I have no idea what to use them for, really. I guess they could buy some time, but anything really dangerous will obliterate the ooze very quickly.

You can "breed" ooze by enclosing them in a tight space and beating them up to split them once in a while. Then lead your ooze army in town.

are they tame ooze or the "hostile but slow so they can follow you" ooze

because mother of blorble this is oozepocalypse-brand material right there

Tame ooze.
IIRC the split ooze will only be tame if the ooze that you started with is tame, i.e. you got it out of an ooze container and it was friendly. That said I think a potential better method would be to get the marloss carrier mutation in the experimental; marloss berries now spawn spores instead of oozes, so you could potentially breed your own self-sustaining fungal army.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention: also, in the basement of the shelter I found a water purificator. Seems I defrauded the lucky 7777 from the happy thread.

Seeing how the basement now has a pair of doors, I suspect the shelters were buffed on purpose - maybe so that people who take Black Road or wossizname have a reason to reclaim the shelter.
