I know there's a primitive sort of refrigerator that relies on evaporation to create its cooling. It's made of two pots, the smaller one inside the larger one, with the space between filled with sand and water. As the water evaporates, it creates a cooling effect by means of science.

Not sure how low the temperatures get, but it's the best form of primitive cooling I've heard of. It's called a Zeer. It's mostly used in Africa.

Oh, and maybe we could do refrigeration trucks. Like, find an ice-cream truck and use that to keep your stuff cold at the cost of a much higher fuel usage.

Or solar panels?

They could also introduce special generator/battery things that you power with your bionic power.

I'm still waiting on when we get a national grid going on. Except obviously not actually national in scale, but nontheless a series of electrical wires running through houses, and then stuff like generators. But I imagine that that's way down in the development plan, when it gets to base-building and such.

What would they be powered from?
Vehicle-mounted on a vehicle with solar panels should be fairly obvious.

The vehicle framework actually covers a lot of options.  A 'fake vehicle' could be constructed without any wheels, but with a welding rig and storage battery, which could be loaded with batteries and used.  This is effectively a very small power system.  With a bit of menus being reworked, you could make a different sort of 'vehicle' that cannot accept wheels, but can mount stationary gear and have it hooked up to batteries.

How do I check which part of my body has a bite wound?
'@'
It should have "Bite - [bodypart]"

Thanks, but I don't see it. I can only see "Bite Wound" in Effects and that's it:

Then you're in an older version, I believe bites just "exist" vaguely.  Cauterizing will select the bite automatically.

In newer versions you have to cauterize a specific part body part, which has an indicator that a bite exists there.

Alternatively you might want to just try to wait out the infection. Unless you remember to cauterize fairly immediately the chance of it healing is about the same, and if you fail at cauterizing you cut your time to find healing items by a pretty large chunk. (That said immediate cauterization followed by a second if you fail the first one is about 50% more likely to heal then just healing on your own at the moment).

O.o but I downloaded the game just yesterday.
Anyway, yeah, I can just cauterize all wounds, but when I apply first aid kits I have to select which body part, that's why I was asking how to know where the wound is.

The stable version (currently 0.8 ) doesn't update from day to day, but the experimental does. Bites are still generic in the stable version, but not in the experimental.

I finished the city (well... got bored with it; my car trunks runneth over) and started exploring along the highways again. I found a petrified eye and a spiral stone in a mine and mansion, respectively. Anything interesting about those?

Find some strange temples and go exploring with the eye. Spiral stones are just used up vortex stones IIRC, they don't actually do anything special.

Looking around a city, I noticed that a car had Trunk Doors, which would open both doors at once.  This is actually pretty cool...
