Speaking of, I was playing a schizophrenic who died. He lasted about three days, and did not sleep a wink. I spent the whole time trying to get him to go to sleep, but he just wouldn't do it. The tired notification never even came up once. Is this a feature of schizophrenia? I suppose being unable to sleep would cause a lot of horrific hallucinations.

I don't think being schizophrenic means no sleep. But i haven't played with schizophrenia too much in the latest version.

Zweihanders and shopping carts.  Don't need the storage, and don't need the protection because nothing survives a zweihander hit except brutes and hulks, who only take 2 hits.

Early game Cata, in one sentence.
I think an equally good summary of early game Cata could be "I trying to get to sleep on a rock floor while eating raw pickle and wearing shredded cargo pants and trenchcoat, both of which I got from a zombie I killed with a rock. FML."

We need a Cataclysm 1% meme. Basically the reverse of this here.

Does anyone remember the requirements for the RV welding unit? I was hoping to be able to use one of those to get around the battery requirement for welding.

So, first time playing this. The shelter I started in had nothing in it but a drama novel. I tried reading it but didn't understand if I actually read it or not, how can I tell?

Then I went outside and picked a house on the map I wanted to move to. On the way I encountered what seems like a dead military patrol. Several dead bodies, all with armour, an M4A1, lots of equipment, some weapon mods, medicine and supplies, and backpacks and other bags. I assume this is a rare find?
Also, how does armour layering work here, is it similar to DF? If I wear two pairs of tactical gloves, do I get protection from both?
