Sooooo, guys... what if I told you I just cleared out a MEGASTORE using nothing more than 15 25 matches? And leaving the store itself intact, aside from tables zombie horde demolished?

EDIT: My bad, I thought matchbox had the capacity of 10 when I wrote that.
I would call you a filthy liar and to get on my level (by burning down important buildings).

I've been running into a strange bug this time where my carts will no longer allow me to put items inside. I'm not sure if they're taking damage (I did accidentally drag one over a pit right before it happened, and the other survived a few spitters) or if it's a glitch, but it's kind of annoying. I'm down to one left.

They're not full, are they? I know a shopping cart can only hold so much stuff before you start leaving things on the ground.

You can also 'e'xamine them while empty to view them as a vehicle, which will tell you if the box part is destroyed.

Pretty sure they aren't full. They went from 'o' to '#' and one is only holding half a dozen bottles of water. Not even jugs. I have a new cart for now, I'll try to be more careful with this one I guess until I can figure out how to fix these things. In the meantime, they still make decent barriers.

I set up in a doctors office. Found half a dozen bear traps, and dug a bunch of spiked pits to secure the place. Tack on the stone fireplace for indoor cooking and makeshift bed and it's not a half bad place to live. A few houses down from a swimming pool, in the middle of town. Now I just need to figure out how to get into the medical vault after accidentally frying the terminal.

Also, those light strips last an absurd amount of time. I built one last week and it's still going strong. It doesn't help with visibility, but being able to read or sew in the middle of the night is very useful.

Which is more effective: Point blank crossbow or long bow pelting?

With optimal ammo, Crossbow edges out the Longbow. Longbow fires much faster though, unless you're absurdly strong Crossbows have a very long redraw time, and the craftable arrows are better than the craftable bolts.

Turns out the carts were damaged. Now I need to find a welder. To the garage!

Good sir, I would impose upon you to elaborate, nay expound upon the event in question.

Why, indeed I shall, sir. By a twist of fate my game begun in a shelter not far from a megastore, which, as usual, had been infested by ravenous revenants of the classic kind, though I am not, in fact, utilizing the exclusively classic-option - the horde which attempted to descend and feast upon me just happened to be composed of such individuals.

Employing the aid of the matchbook that has been in my posession I have set a few specimen of plant life, more specifically of shrubbery, ablaze. Utilizing the dimness of the mob that had been following me, I have led them, one by one, into the raging infernos said bushes turned into and one by one, the undead monstrosities had been consumed by the raging flames.

I find myself obliged to inform that in process of leading the undead hordes to their demise, I had been utilizing my unique penchant for Fleet of Foot, thanks to which I have only sustained minor damage to the chest area, although at one point I had been forced to cauterize a bite wound.

After the building had been thoroughly cleansed of all signs of un-life, I took the liberty of looting it, in process obtaining truly absurd amount of storage space, exceeding three hundreds.

I would call you a filthy liar and to get on my level (by burning down important buildings).

Good sir, I must protest. At an earlier point, I had burned down a gun store, resulting in a deafening explosion, a regional school, a garage, and a pretty massive section of a town, until I had the misfortune of running into a combination of a Brute and smoke and fire blocking my escape resulting in my demise in a quite literal blaze of glory.

Found a broadsword in a pawnshop. I think I'm in love.

Yeah, those do that. Compare against a rapier if you make/find one.

Can someone tell me why Glass Bottles and Glass Flasks can be used to make Molotov Cocktails, but not Glass Jars?  Which are not containers but rather weapons.

Also, 'bone broth' cannot be used in place of ordinary broth in any recipes that I can see.

Wait... Stone fireplaces are for indoor use? I was visualizing an open-top fire pit sort of dealy, so this is wonderful news to me.

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Think a cave of stone with a hole...

As for the recipies, do YOU want to go add all those lines of code to do that?

What is a flu shot?

The wiki makes it sound like a health potion.

Also, should I keep this stack of adderall or this adrenaline syringe for 'OH SHIT' moments?

I may not have the experience needed to modify the game at will, but I have seen the recipes, they're not exactly heavy lifting.  For nine grand of seed money, yeah I would take the time to add obvious cross-functionality like that when it comes up.

Fair point. But I've seen a recipe that takes bone broth as it's component at cooking level 3, so I assume there's more.

Are you sure it's not intended?

Yep. Just like a wood stove, a stone fireplace contains fire, vents smoke, and can be used for all fire requiring recipes. Great for crafting in the late night/early morning, or during acid rain. The open-top fire pit dealies are braziers, they can be used to light fires without igniting anything nearby but still give off smoke making them unpleasant to use indoors.
