Yup, it's a matter of luck mostly. Also, they are pretty awesome as far as hostile mobs go (edible enemies, yay), and it's a well known fact that we can't have nice things.
During a convrsation with a coworker today I realized that triffids don't produce nearly enough clouds of toxic pollen, this should be rectified. (kidding, maybe)

@Girlinhat: I made the linux version copy the player save to a graveyard folder instead of deleting the save, and have poked the few windows devs to make windows builds do the same.  It should just be a matter of copying the player save files back over to the save folder to bring them back as of the last autosave.

fire > school

Fire pretty much most things actually, get a few environmental bionics and become immune to fire and you can pretty much kill everything anywhere.

Clothing no longer goes to -1.  Even fitted, it's still 0.
Huh, so wearing four pairs of shorts isn't a good idea anymore?

Well, what's happening is that normally, you get encumbrance for the clothing plus extra encumbrance depending on the number of layers you got. Getting something with 0 encumbrance fit let you get rid of the layer encumbrance. So those 4 shorts won't encumber you at all, but you can't wear 3 pairs of pants over them like we used to.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

So really it's been reduced to a -.5, everything else remaining equal. (The hidden .5 per layer malus remaining hidden)

It's only -0.5 on the torso, on the legs or arms it's more than that.

Arms and legs take 1 encumberance per item over 1.  IE, wearing 2 articles of clothing will incur 1 encumberance.  On torso, it's half that rate.

Been in effect for a while.  It's why it's so easy to get your arms stuffy but can wear a lot of backpacks.

I noticed in this version. My character needs no goddamn sleep. At all. She goes to bed at 8 pm and wakes up at midnight fully rested.

Does heavy sleeper make you sleep better now or something so you end up sleeping less?
