Yes.
Except crafting isn't on *. But cooking is on the same menu as crafting.

Best internal furnace edible is probably a sheet, as given by windows.  Or whole bears.  Like, just eat the bear's meat, bones, fur, and sinew.

When you said 'whole bears', I pictured someone opening their stomach, which has a furnace in it, and then shoving a living bear into it.
It used to be possible to consume corpses to power the internal furnace.  It made energy moot, as you could eat zombies whole.

Light a fire. Far away from your house. Or use a hotplate. Ovens don't work since no power.

Make fires on the roads or in a fireplace/wood stove.

No, that's something I've asked about for years.  Apparently everyone except me is in favor of cruel permadeath even when caused by bugs.

Permadeath is fun.
Permadeath due to NPCs eating lighters are more fun.

There is an option to get the game to ASK you i you want the world deleted.

I would like it if savescumming without having to fool around with save files was an option.

What? I like to keep things going if I get a good thing going. If I manage to barricade a house and get a lot of food, I wanna see if I can continue with it. I'm cool with my guys dying if they're just in the first stage of gameplay, but when I get a bead on things it's annoying to die.

Which does nothing for your character...  If anything, I find a second character in the same world to do worse, as everything of value has been consumed already.

Most of the time it seems to dump you on the other side of the map or close enough to your corpse to loot it.
