Will the expirmental build at the moment include post Romero merges and such? Or is it still pre Romero?

It's precisely the same as Romero at the moment, I've been finishing stuff up all day, so I'm too tired to merge anything else :)

Starting tomorrow though, I'll be rapidly merging pull requests that were too invasive to risk merging so close to a release, so experimental development will be quite rapid :D

Suggestion!  Add electric blades, similar to the fireblades but consumes battery charges - optionally only consumes a charge when you strike an enemy, but that's trickier to code.  Also probably a useless idea, except I like the idea of having Thor's Own Hammer, or Zeus's Sword!

Might play tomorrow.  It depends - are bushes still lethal to all vehicles, and are kitchen units and solar panels instantly destroyed if a vehicle hits anything?

Batteries in series. :P Seeing as 'batteries' = general batteries.

So. . .

Feasible. Also gets my +1.

I'd loooove to devise such and such using said things as batteries :D
I mean, hey. If we have CBMs, surely there may be some schematics or technology out there to devise such.

Umm... Books can already do this?

The big thing with most CBM's is simply that the technology and infrastructure required to create them is so far beyond what the player can do that there is no way the player could ever make them.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

*ahem*
Experimental recipes. Prototypes. May require CBM usage to complete. And all those other notes.

Levels of Engineering can be placed and heightened, right? Discarding skill rust, one can understand even the most complex of books that way.

Okay I have a video up for the new version and you can watch it here. I don't have any real game play in it but I do take a look at the changelog as well as checking out the two tilesets that are in it. Of course Deon's is of the highest craftdwarfship but the other tileset by SirHoder is also of the best quality as well and if you think the 32x32 size that Deon uses is a little big Hoder's is 16x16. I try to put how I feel about the two into words but end up noodling around trying to figure out what I mean to say and don't get around to trying to figure out anything with farming which was apparently added in some form(The changelog said so).

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

I'm not entirely sure about the NPCs, but I don't think the tilesets have everything sprited, yet, so some items have their ASCII character representing them, still.

I've always wondered who names the releases.

This latest release was named by Kevin Granade, Azmodean to the 12th Bay. Deon's tileset has some minor flaws, which may have translated into SirHoder's when he incorporated Deon's tileset into his own. The NPC sprites being the most obvious. I don't remember if it was mentioned to Deon that the NPC sprites are pointing at the poppy tile, but it will be let known by this next evening and I'll post up a fix to change it to the proper tile once I have had some light R&R.

Digging's a lot like surgery, see -- you grab the sharp thing and then drive the sharp end of the sharp thing in as hard as you can and then stuff goes flying and then stuff falls out and then there's a big hole and you're done. I kinda wish there was more screaming, but rocks don't hurt so I guess it can't be helped.
