Did anyone else know that ovens normally have frying pans and normal pots in them?   No more lack of pots.

Salmon-god, the end game is generally:

Beat the Three Different Labs
Beat one of the mine variants, set off earthquake, acquire artifact and eye (try again if you don't, there are multiple mine types just like with labs)
and then tackle a strange temple

I got into a strange temple by ramming it repeatedly with a truck. :D
But..but all Strange Temples I see are 2x2 or such squares.

Flat squares.

With a pedestal thingy. O_o

Edit: May be inviting spoilers. Anyway:

...All spoilers :P

I fear I'll have a lot to do later on.

Though I also do feel that there should be catching notices or missives in those special areas to point us in the right direction.

I just booted up an old Whales build I found on my hard drive. To paraphrase:
Quote
Player: Job?
NPC: Could you get me some antibiotics?
Player: Sure, got anything that could help me?
You got antibiotics
Player: Uh, anything else?
You got a leg
Player: Third time's a charm?
You got mininuke (active)
The worst luck.

Yep.  Cannot tell you how many times I got handed active grenades!

Luckily they were bugged.  Although active, they didn't tick down and wouldn't explode.  I suspect this is because they were spawned without being activated.

But if you try to activate it, it will go boom. Immediately.

This weirded me out a little, but it's humorous to me.

Interesting... I've visited several mines, but never found anything but a big cave with a bunch of equipment in it.

Is going this far -nospoilersthanks- requiring any sort of stone busting equipment? Because I'd really just like to go this far with my gas lantern and my fists. :I

Not in my experience, no. No special equipment required.

There are stairs downward farther on and you have to go down a few floors to reach the bottom.

This. It's hidden in the old thread somewhere, but my searching has failed to turn anything up.

Are there any plans of adding umbrellas into the game? I find it weird that umbrellas are nonexistent in post-apocalyptic households.

Probably not, considering how the game determines if you're gonna get wet or not.
