Vaccines and vitamins add to your health level - not the HP of body parts, but overall health. Eating junk food and rotten food lowers your health. The lower health, the bigger chance you catch a common cold or flu.

Current character is going pretty well. Found a pot early on and have been harvesting the local wildlife for food. Only problem is that I managed to burn down the survival shelter...with a bunch of stuff in it. Also got lucky and got some fur pelts and sinew off of some critter, a wolf I think, and made a sling. Handy weapon for hunting rabbits and squirrels.

I managed to save my ammo, a few tools, and some food and have relocated to a house in the tiny town near me. Hopefully I'll be able to salvage at least a few things from the wreckage. But at least I know not to light fires inside houses now. Would the basement have been safe? I don't know if the game really takes note of flooring material.

As a note, responding to a concerned party in here, I'm going to continue to delete all posts here related to the repeated ban dodges.  It's faster than leaving notes.  Do not respond to them, and your posts will be maintained.
I think those were my comments.
If they were, sorry, I guess I didn't pay enough attention as to who I was responding to.

Same, it had the armor and the carry rig.  I'm doing a martial artist though, so it wasn't very useful.  Although there are some engines I'd like to lug around...  Working on a vehicle, you see.  Powered armor would probably be very good for collecting materials.

Space Marines, if it was surplus, Soviet style. Like stuff you'd find in a military surplus.
