How do you use an oven?

I tried taking a 2x4, (D)ropping it on the oven, and then lighting it. I assumed my character was smart enough to put it IN the oven or something, but he ended up setting fire to the entire building.

CAN ovens even be used?

Regular ovens can't be used. A wood oven can be used by dropping fuel and lighting it.

Just think about what would happen if you went into your kitchen, put some wood into your oven and lit it on fire.

Master Zombie approaches!
Panic!
"Fire will surely help!"
Gas station explodes!
"Fire, why have you betrayed me?!"

I like this logic.

How does Dynamic Spawn work exactly?  The wiki's guide to survival seems to hint that it's a delayed spawn based on how long you've been in the city.  Like "you've got an hour and a half to get in and get out" but if this works anything like the old spawn system, then they start spawning then and never stop.

Am I making sense?

Dynamic Spawn has the following mechanics, differing from Static:
- No zombies spawn until 9am (correct me if my time is wrong)

- Spawning is directly related to noise caused. A shotgun blast spawns a veritable horde. Noise is indicated by in-game messages such as plink and KABLAM!

- Spawning is NOT infinite, but draws from a local pool. This pool is significantly larger than Static numbers are, but it can be depleted

This is literally how animals work in the world currently. Noise causes new animals to spawn at all times, drawing from a large pool. This is why you get so many cougars and spiders trying to hug a vehicle when driving one.

Close but no cigar

Spawning is not directly caused by noise, spawning is influenced by noise. Basically dynamic spawn will spawn monsters in waves however the more noise you make the more quickly the next wave will come, use something like a shotgun and you will get lots of waves. The wave spawning is nice as it lets you clear up a horde of zombies and then have time to loot the corpses and get ready to fight off the next wave.

Generally dynamic spawn will spawn less zombies initially then static spawn and will have time delays on special zombie spawnings but there is a population pool of monsters which is much larger then static spawn so overall you will get more zombies though not at the start.

The spiral stone is basically a rock, as far as I know. [a]ctivating a vortex stone, on the other hand, does something interesting.

...just save first, it might crash the game.
...and don't do it inside your base, or near windows

Spiral stones are basically vortex stones that have been used up. As of the moment they have absolutely no use (other then hitting things with them, that is).

As a note, responding to a concerned party in here, I'm going to continue to delete all posts here related to the repeated ban dodges.  It's faster than leaving notes.  Do not respond to them, and your posts will be maintained.

So in my latest video I decided to go hardcore martial artist. Seeing how the game has went I figure I have two pressing questions. First is what drugs increase intelligence and how exactly does the martial arts styles work. I read the wiki and it says that they just happen when the condition is met or something of the like but is it random if they activate? Because I have the quick attack thing and it seems somewhat random when it activates. Am I just missing what is making it activate or what?

In my experience, it's more or less random. Certainly in my McJester LP the special moves trigger when they want to, it seems like. Though I can confirm that the added dodge/block of Karate certainly does seem related to a successful attack, as listed.

There is likely some sort of trigger which dictates when a quick attack goes off, or a karate chop, but I've not felt the need to puzzle over it too much, they trigger very frequently as is.

This makes me want to do a Samurai Jack playthrough. High fighting skill, no armor beyond normal clothing, and gift myself a katana.

First time playing it in a while, found a Vaccine shot. Is that an NPC quest item, or would it actually work if I'm infected?
