Only discovered this game a few days ago when I saw the kickstarter thread, and dang am I having fun! Finally got a character with a decent chance of long-term survival, though I had to double the number of points from character creation. Couple of questions though:
Is there a decent way to increase mechanics or electrical skill without finding a book?
Will the toilets in town eventually run out of water?
I have static spawn mode on, so theoretically I should eventually be able to clear out all the zombies from the town, right?
Anyway, it looks like I'll have some spare cash at the end of the month, so I'll probably throw some at the kickstarter.
Once you reach level 3 in mechanics, you can just mass repair cars with a powered welder, which'll net you a bunch of skill levels at the cost of a lot of time. On the bright side, you can repair cars in the darkness, unlike books.
Theoretically, you can clear out all the zombies in the town under dynamic spawn, too. As a matter of practicality, it's only really possible with a deathbeast half-car half-tank mechanized fortress. Even then, you need to butcher all the corpses, which would take absolutely forever. Even small towns with only like 5-6 houses have upwards of a hundred or likely more under dynamic spawn, last I heard, so it gets a bit ridiculous.
But with static spawn, you can clear out little areas on the outskirts and they'll be free from most zombies, aside from wandering zombies and/or loud noises. I'm pretty sure that firing loud weaponry and blowing up houses is still going to attract zombies from other sections of the city.
