The point of basically hiring a full time programmer is probably to handle some of the tougher things that someone part timing it can't manage like z-levels and NPCs. This game is open source and everyone will be welcome to help.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

The only thing that will really change is the amount of work he's able to dedicate to the project. Others are still allowed and encouraged to help and contribute.

A dedicated programmer will probably INCREASE the amount of contributions from others pulled into the project, actually. We're almost always behind on code reviews and pulling code, and he could either dedicate some time each day to that or free up other programmers like Kevin to work on it exclusively.

79 contributors in the past 12 months, 41 in the past month
6 comitters make about 70% of the commits

Well, I'm excited about what a successful Kickstarter can bring to the table, and will happily be pledging when it finally comes along.

Hopefully he'd be thrilled to see how far the project he started has come. :)

Still working on my gun mod for this... Still working only semi-automatic, select-fire and automatic pistols first... So far I have implemented 50 semi-automatic, select-fire and automatic pistols. I will start work on revolvers after I am happy with the pistols. I would really like to get up to the 100 amount first though.

I'm compiling a word document to go along with the mod with pictures of the weapons and their in-game explanations/tool-tips... The entries are color coded depending on if they are legal/illegal/grandfathered in/only for police use or only for military use.

So far the word document is 2,600 words :o.

PS - if anyone's interested I can release a list of what weapons have so far been included.
