Yeah I butcher every zombie I kill as well. It not only helps get your survival up but also prevents any future necromantic accidents. Even when I am trying to go quickly I make sure if I kill any really hard zombies I chop them up.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

I like the static spawn a lot. It gives me a constant feeling of achievement - every zombie I kill is a lesser risk - but I like it with the standard zombie. While hordes are still deadly, it makes it less likely that something will just come out of no where and wreck me. Makes it a bit more tactical. It's more " Get supplies, stealthy, stabby stabby." and less "go into town, run from the hulks, hope you find a shotgun and can run fast"

I do agree that the tactical aspect of clearing a town is greater then ever with static spawns. You clear an area enough so you can safely explore a house you will be able to go back to that house later and still enter and grab whatever you left the first time. It makes the permanence of the world feel more immediate in a single life where as the old system would take multiple lives or a lucky character to actually clear an area. Oh and I have a couple more videos up. One is here and the other which is not an april fools video despite being made and uploaded on april first and if you watch it believing it is then I guess it sorta is because april fools it isn't, is here

Sprinting through the sewers with a katana, mutating randomly and fighting giant ants. Feels like Hatemoo.

Burning and acid work as well and they are quicker and take no xp

If after a fight I still have xp I was one shoting the zombies or had a big supply built up because it generally either goes into combat skills or dodging depending on how good I did. I generally want to level Survival anyway because I use meat for food once I get myself situated and I want that wolf corpse to give me meat. Also can you burn a corpse directly? I have not tried because I have had bad luck with various other objects and as for acid, I haven't had any to use on anything let alone corpses.

Bone needles are the way to go if you want to train survival.  So many bone needles.

Burning works. I usually kill a lot of zombies using one bush and my trusty nail board (seriously, it's kind of ridiculous how much use you get out of this thing), so if I exhaust all of my XP and still have some left I prefer to light the bush on fire.

Hasn't come back to bite me yet, though I kill all necros on sight, so maybe I'm just overzealous.

Easy way to burn alot of corpses is to find the ones with burnables that drop with them (clothes are good) then apply your lighter to them.  It will still leave alot for survival training, but will clear plenty in quick time.

I just found a pretty neat strategy : burning a shrub makes a nice 5*5 field of fire, do it near a town and lure zombies in it (you can throw rocks to attract them from afar). Sure you won't get xp or items from it, but thanks to the static spawning you can clear an area near something you want to loot, and it's pretty safe.

Is there any way to get a liquid off the ground?

Try a mop. Or burn it. You cant get the liquid back but you can destroy it.

Mop worked. Never would have thought of that either heh.

Burning it away wasn't an option, since it was alcohol inside my house and it would have dropped the entire thing.

EDIT: WHAT IN THE HELL IS LAVA DOING IN THE SEWERS AND WHY ARENT ANTS DYING IN IT

EDIT2: the map labels it as a rift. oh boy

EDIT3: Sadly, I can't use the lava to cook stuff. Alas.
