Compiling is still easy, right? Someone want to post a MinGW guide? I'm off to catch a bus soon.

A possible minor bug.  I was working in my car in my house (yes IN my house) and I noticed that my house was surrounded by dozens of small furry animals.  A few not so small and not so cute, but Deathtrike v0.4 delt with them.  Is there some oddity with the spawning that causes the game to spawn a horde of animals when there's no zombies around?

At any rate it's amusing, as it seems my carpenter/engineer guy is some kind of bizarre sleeping beauty that attracts wildlife.  Guess I don't have to worry about food for a day or two at any rate.

I've posted guides in the tech support subforum over on the website.

It's being worked on.

I don't see why not, although, again, I should specify that there is, in fact, a windows version...
After some running around trying to close nonexistent curtains I have determined that it does require some editing to get it to update using the DDA version. I have also determined that the Linux install guide here is out of date for the DDA version.

I've uploaded a new disk image here that works with DDA. The guide I linked earlier works for the new image.

Did you make sure to install the listed curses libraries?

Also, posted an update. Windows version

I thought I had them installed. Turns out I didn't. For future reference: The package is libncurses-dev

Windows (the physical ones) that can be closed? A new and cool Windows (OS this time) version of Cataclysm?

I must download this!

PD: is it just me or the game's slower than usual?

Might be running a bit slower because of the new lighting system, but I'd never noticed it being particularly bad.

I'm trying it on my netbook atm, not my good pc. Thing is, netbook performance used to be good in the last few releases. Now I'm getting the infamous "stuck key lag" problem. It could be stuff running in the background, so no definite word on netbook performance yet.

Thanks again guys, there is so much new stuff to enjoy!

I'm going to feel bad about running over wolves now though.

P.S. Found another possible bug, windows with curtains can't be removed like ones from storefronts can.  I needed a pane of glass to make a windshield and discovered that windows with curtains could not be removed.  This is the windows(ha!) version before last.

That brings up another question, how do we refer to versions?  By release date, or do you guys have a fancy 0.023.51c.gamma notation?

Release date if you're using windows, commit number if you're using git.

And I forgot about domestic windows not being able to give panes, I'll fix for the next release, for now, just smash the window then wish a pane in :P
