We need to start with underwear.

I find it amusing how worried everyone is about their genitalia in a zombie apocalypse.

Though I can't really say I don't empathize....

Nobody wants their nethers to rot. That's really bad. REALLY BAD.

Without genitals survival is meaningless.  After all, you're just prolonging the end of your life.

With genitals there is hope for the future!

Can't argue with that. I too would be pretty depressed, living on without my manhood.

Now we need to introduce a dwarf-fortress-esque limb system into Cataclysm. That would be glorious.

Fungaloids already have spores covered. Why are you bothering to survive? Hug a fungaloid and embrace your fate.

Hey, this isn't an I Am Legend scenario. There are other survivors in the New England territory, plus much of the western US is unaffected, and that's before we take into account other nations. If you survive, there's a fair chance you'll have an opportunity use your genitalia.

And honestly, with such a strong unnatural selection going on, doesn't humanity need your survivor genes?

More like screwed up mutated half-man half-dog genes, but yeah, you're probably right about that.

Oh god. I can't even imagine what would happen to half of the surviving human population with all those insane mutations going on. There would be lineages of half-dogs, half-birds and who knows what else.

I think I smell another Cata fanfiction brewing.

Err... According to lore the portals just started in New England, them spread across the world.
Although, only the US was nuked aswell.

I REALLY wanted to post a picture as a response, but I think I'd get banned from Bay12 for posting furry porn.

..Anthropomorphic art isn't furry porn. Unless you really mean what you have is porn :v

*reads bolded part above*

Ah. I was thinking of something like Cynanthropy there. Eh. (Really, if you mean screwed genes from totally different species, then there would be worse things than a clear representation of 2 animals. Studied genetics/cytogenetics and...the notes aren't good.)

Edit: Though I really find it amusing that mutations begin in exacts. "We're 50% something else! D:"
Oooooooh dear.

For the record, if mutations in real life were like those in this game, I'd be chugging liquefied foetuses mixed with ammonia quite a bit.

Bad mutations? Purifier, start over. :P

Heh.

Some of them do make one wonder how it'd be to have it, IE: Tentacle arms, chitinous skin, gills.

The nukes made the portals worse in the New England area. The north eastern part of the US was wiped out, but the rest of the world is in better shape. Given that the netherium has difficulty surviving in our reality and the Triffids and Fungaloids both have a single point of failure (kill the Heart or the Spire and the entire colony goes feral or dies), I'd give humanity better than even odds of coming back. We've survived worse, with a lower technology base.
