It's not really important, and we're getting off topic so I'll yield. My point remains, in game cooking reduces the amount of nutrition in exchange for increasing the enjoyability and/or shelf life. A fair trade IMO, especially if you took the Mood Swings disadvantage.

Will there be improvement to the sleep mechanics ?
That's something that has been annoying me since a lot of time, my characters (despite having no traits leading to it, getting no drug and drinking nothing out of clean water) never accept to sleep "you try to sleep but you can't", and will only accept to sleep when really tired, and that usually occurs ... in the day when you would prefer to do something else than having your character wasting hours in sleeping.

Got the game freezing.

In my base/house after dropping the items i was hauling from somewhere else, i decided to go outside to try to hunt the deer i observed around my house as the noise was now very close.
I opened my door and what did i saw :

An angry bear just jumped by the door, followed by an angry cougar.

Well, my hammerer wasn't really going to get out of this alive, so i ran back into the house, followed by the 2 murderous animals, opened a window and jumped out of it while being clawed, from there i decided to fight back, in the hope the bear would have trouble fighting from the window.

And i managed to hammer the monster to death, unfortunately he seriously nearly murdered my character, a leg probably gone and the other one in bad shape.

The cougar took his turn, fortunately he didn't insisted much and leaped out of the window after a blow, and i jumped through the window back in the house when i noticed coming toward me a "Slug Crawler"

Game seems to insist in trying to kill that character, funny that when i went back to my house a few minutes ago i saw nothing around it out of the deer that is now nowhere to be seen.

I crawled through the house after closing the window, in the hope that thing would lose my track, and decided to close a door inside my house to slow it down in case it managed to enter, so i could move toward the opposite door of my house.

But after i press C then selected the direction of the door, the game simply froze there

A nice freezing as i was then forced to close the game without saving, and magically got back at my previous status, from before going into the expedition in town and getting back that ended into that horror :D

I'm having a bit trouble understanding how to use the quivers you can craft. I "W"eared one, it says it can hold 80 arrows, but nothing seems to have changed in my inventory in regards to volume carried (I carry about 50 arrows with me). What is the purpose of them?

Tonight, when you go to bed, instead of laying in your bed clear a spot off on the floor with no mat, blanket or pillow or anything. Also, turn off your heat if you've got it on already.

Now try to sleep on the floor like that and tell me how it goes.

If you try sleeping on a bed ingame, especially with a blanket, I think you will find it works a LOT better. If you can't use a bed, portable cots and sleeping mats also exist and help a lot too (but not as much as a bed).

When you sleep on a bed, you get "This is a good place to sleep" and if you have a loose blanket on the same tile, you get to use it to keep warm as well, which helps.

BurnedToast, you missed the post in which i was mentionning having a house/base, something i (and probably most people that have cleared a part of town) always do in my games, nearly every houses in cdda come with a "comfortable" (as the game mention it) bed and the temperature never go as cold as it would if you still use the shelter.
And that's the problem, your character in such comfortable and secure (part of town is freed from zombie threat, house closed and window made opaque) location , still refuse to sleep when he should and will only do when really tired.

The situation have nothing in common with what you're talking about one would experience if trying to do so in the middle of the cold wilderness using your tshirt as a blanket on cold hard floor.

Before you start a new character or load your save, look for options or press O.  Use tab to switch between the tabs, and arrow keys to scroll down to the window size options, you have pretty much complete control over the width and height.

I've never run into issues with sleep in game. Find a warm bed, blanket, and maybe drink some Nyquil to get to sleep (Ambien if you're really desperate, though I've never needed it. Maybe your game is just buggy?

I think you can reset your character's sleep schedule by sleeping when they get tired during the day, then trying to sleep until morning. It think I saw my tired status go away while I was wasting time resting in poor conditions.

To get back on a day schedule, I'd recommend using things that make you more or less tired to control your fatigue timing.

I'll take a look at how sleep is acting, that's a pain to test since you have to either play for a long time (in other words, not testing), or just wait and cheat in food/water to cycle it.

One thing with odd sleep, are you taking much in the way of stimulants?  The system is overly simplistic in that stimulants actually make you less tired, so if you're very frequently taking stims, you actually need to sleep less.  Conversely depressants like alchohol increase fatigue rather than just making you more prone to sleep.  Will fix this eventually, it just works "well enough" in most cases right now.

Quick numbers
fatigue ticks up one every 5 minutes (50 turns) when you're awake
fatigue ticks down 2.5 every 5 minutes (50 turns) when you're asleep
fatigue ticks up one every 5 minutes when you have a cold or flu regardless of sleep, this is probably a bug.
Tired/dead tired/exausted thresholds are 191/383/575
Booze increases fatigue by 36 per serving.
Soda decreases fatigue by 20 per serving
Coffee decreases fatigue by 36 per serving
Cocaine decreases fatigue by 60 per serving
Fruit jam increases fatigue by 62 THIS IS A BUG WTF

P.S. We're receptive to adding achievements to the memorial system.

So just consume stuff on that list (ware side effects and control your consumption rate) to make yourself more or less tired until you like when your character wants to sleep?

If you don't mind addictions and their various side-effects then you can use various comestibles to help sleep, otherwise you can just use them infrequently to avoid addictions.

Playing Hobo with addictive personality is so hard btw.

It just adds volume- I recommend against the large one as it encumbers. A couple smalls are nice though.
