Well that's embarrassing, killed by a dog. I forgot to check that I was actually wielding my pocket knife for one thing.

Your three pack fanny is in another castle. Obviously your ass isn't fat enough.

You should also be wearing a raincoat and utility vest.

You should also be wearing a raincoat and utility vest.

And two regular backpacks.  Maybe a parka too!

Who shall my next survivor zombie chow be?

Schizophrenic cannibal clown?
Genius android hooker?
Hobo drunken boxer?
Feral otaku catgirl?
Conan the Cyber Barbarian?

Edit: What's the best way to get your computers, electronics, and first aid skills up? I've gotten them all to 2 with books, but I can't find any books with a higher skill cap at the moment.

Smashing windows gives you string. I wish I had known that when I made a bow hunter character.

Windows have blinds. That gives string.

I have spent a lot of time and half a car making a charcoal kiln, and forge to go with the anvil I found in a LMOE shelter.   Now if only I could figure out what I wanted to make with it.  I wonder if I get my fabrication up high enough I can make some super flaming flamberge.

Oh and has anyone actually used these cool weapons like the No. 9?  Does the extra fire damage just result in a damage boost or does it result in a flaming zombie that lights everything in the building yer trying to loot on fire?

I've got 12 mechanics & 9 fab, and the most impressive weapon I can('t) make is a nodachi at 10 fab skill.

My happiest creation, though, was this fancy barbute I have. mm, happy days.

Btw, you'll probably find a billion electric forges before long- I've come across 3-4 in the two and a half towns I've looted. only 2 anvils though, so that first one got me all excited. Couldn't move the damn thing, but still.

You're lucky. I've been smashing and scavenging ovens and fridges across the city just to get enough metal to make an anvil. Scrap metal may be cheap and common, but 480 of anything takes a looooong time to acquire. And that's before I factor in the massive amounts of wood I'll need to convert to charcoal to convert the scrap metal into steel chunks, then turn the steel chunks into steel lumps, then FINALLY turn the steel lumps into a steel anvil. All so I can build a swege and die set so I can make a machete, so I can turn it into a blade, so I can make a flaming sword. Which I'll have to learn how to use because I currently use a spear. In some ways, this game is more tedious than DF, yet still fun.

You could just disassemble a lawnmower for blades. You can find them all the time in hardware stores or houses.

(Also, that's why I cried manly tears when that public works had an electric forge in a locker.)

Dump a bunch of car frames into a metal recycler behind a hardware store. select "lump of steel" output. Profit.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.
