What are the penalty for firing a bow with less than the suggested strength? I've got 10 strength, am I better off with a reflex recurve bow or with a longbow?

I use the reflex recurve at 10 strength just fine.  It's definitely more effective than the longbow.

This. It's hidden in the old thread somewhere, but my searching has failed to turn anything up.

There's no problem in principle with having functional umbrellas, just needs the off-hand feature implemented.
Now I have a mental image of a little pigtailed girl wearing galoshes and a raincoat and holding an umbrella skipping around in acid rain shooting zombies.  How I get that from just "umbrella" I have no idea.

Because you know, once we get 'umbrella' we'll naturally get 'parasol' and that's one step away.

Off-hand would be nice, especially as we could figure out what's 2h or 1h and how restricive is the Blaster Arm.

From what I understanding, the game determins if you're wet based on the clothes coverage and warmth of the torso, and it doesnt seem to interact with whats in your hands.

So you'd need to reconjiger the getting wet mechanic probably moderately.

For those who are wishing for umbrellas, I ask that you think about what will happen once gliders are implemented.
I, for one, will be naming my character Mary Poppins.

More specifically, it has two rules:
1: Is your Warmth of your torso clothing greater than 30?
2: Is it a raincoat?

Essentially the raincoat completely bypasses the normal rules of water protection and has its own little exploit to make itself work.  An umbrella would be easy.  If(warmth>30 || worn == raincoat || held == umbrella)

If off-hand equipment is working, then it's simple.

Turrets are jerks! I'm trying to deal with a military camp. I'm sneaking through the woods, throwing EMP grenades at turrets, it's going fine. I've already dealt with one set, I'm sneaking up on the other, BAM! The turret shoots me in the eyes for 60 damage. So much for that character.

Are there any plans of adding umbrellas into the game? I find it weird that umbrellas are nonexistent in post-apocalyptic households.
Inspired by your guys' pleas, I have created a pull request adding umbrellas to the game. With any luck it should be merged in in a day or two and then the experimental version will at least have umbrellas.

So I've got the git client, and when I try to 'refresh' to grab the most recent commits, it always fails and wants me to open the shell.  Any advice?

Sometimes you just have to use the terminal for stuff. I use Mercurial with Tortoise GUI but I still need to use the terminal to push to Github, because for some reason the GUI button doesn't want to work with my settings.
