Well, I guess that I will have to kill it with traps, then.

That's about the only non-exploity and still fully safe method that I can come up with, other than a large volume of large caliber gunfire/rockets of course. The latter's a solution to all enemies though, as long as it's large enough. I figured you'd prefer a more practical, sustainable, and discreet method.

This being said, my experience is a version behind, not including the experimentals.

If you have some skill, going full auto is an option. My best character ever could kill hulks with an SMG just fine, though that was many versions back.

I had another great idea, but this one's a lot simpler to implement than instruments... I think.

Safe mode should probably work with spotted traps, too. There's nothing quite like running into a mine because I spotted it but didn't physically react in time to stop myself from running into it... or another mine that hadn't been uncovered yet.

If safe mode would also work with wolves (has that been fixed?) that'd be greeeat~

Oh yea, definitely not debating that point, but (I think) anyone with sufficient intelligence and time would be able to perform at a competent level without any instruction.

Short answer: NOPE.

Long answer: HELLA NOPE.

Stepping onto discovered traps already prompts you, and having safe mode trigger on any trap you saw meant it would be impossible to use it around any traps that you set up (which most people do around their bases).

As for safe mode with wolves, if they're hostile I'm pretty sure it'll trigger on them. That said if they are ignoring you and then you charge at them like a madman they might not turn hostile until you get inside their comfort zone. There isn't really anything we can do about this, it's just the way the system as a whole works.

And yeah, as a musician I can tell you right now that you are severely underestimating the difficulty involved in playing an instrument. :P Teaching yourself is totally possible, even without instruction, but you are talking a huge amount of time before you get anything that sounds remotely like music. (Of course, if you had a instruction book it's much, much easier than solely by yourself).

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

There's someone on the radio telling people to head west, is there really gonna be something if I go there?

Not really. I think by "west" they mean "west of the Mississippi", so...

Darn. Is there any easy(as in easier that wandering aimlessly for weeks) way to locate a faction outpost? I'd love to find one but they seems to be extremely rare.
