What's a decent weapon for fighting shocker types?  Do non-metal weapons ignore the shock-on-attack problem?  There's not any low-volume or sheathable weapons that aren't metal...
A mininuke.

If nothing else, a wooden spear or 2 by sword or quarter staff.

Does the nord transfer shock? Baseball bat? Nailed bat?

I believe any weapon that has a metal type as its material, such as steel, iron, silver, gold, or aluminum, will transfer shock.

Throw rocks at them.

No, for real, that's a surprisingly effective tactic. I use it against smokers and bloated zombies whenever I meet them.

Holster and a short shotgun, use for emergencies only.

Quoth the Wiki

Quote
Difficulty = Adjusted Skill / (4 * Bionic Difficulty)
Adjusted Skill = Skill - min(40, Skill - Skill / 10)
Skill = Intelligence * 4 + Electronics * 4 + First Aid * 3 + Mechanics

(Though of course, this could be outdated.)

That is the current formula.  For removing broken CBMs the Bionic Difficulty is 14, the highest in the game.

This is what happens when we randomly murder people.

You get attacked by a Yandere triangle monster.

I'm always playing a martial-artist//unarmed type and...
The shock-on-attack activates for any melee it seems -_-
* Tiruin punches the Shocker Zombie. Cue paralysis later on :I
And mostly that kills due to free rounds of free strikes. Grah!

You mean you actually try to kill the zombies?

I thought you would try to teach them the error of their ways; that they shouldn't generalize all humans as food.

@Tiruin

Yup. Punching electric monsters is as dangerous as smacking them with a metal weapon. After guns, zappy things are definitely the most frustrating things to fight for martial artists.

I tried to talk to them :< But it doesn't work.
(also some wish to spread bacterial infection by poking you harshly, which isn't nice. And they're all hungry. Also shocker zombies are :I)

I give them a punch. It sends them to sleep.

And then you butcher them violently and steal their clothes. For science.

Again, for things you don't want to get into melee with and have no better ranged weapons for, throw rocks. It works.

Shockers are literally arcing with electricity, and you expect to punch them with no problem?
