This all just sounds like you have the bad "shall not be named" version running on some of the worst versions of Windows. I'm scratching my head in bafflement here. Try running the experimentals? They're quite stable and playable with only a few hiccups. If you truly have 0.A it is rather outdated at this point.

What version? 3db0398 works fine on windows seven with the tutorial.

It might just be the inherent bullshit inherent to Vista and 8.

Some questions:
1) have you installed CDDA to Program Files? Bad idea on Vista/7/8.
2) how much free space do you have on your HDD?
3) any defragmenting programs that might be interfering with the game's files?
4) which version indeed?

I think we also got one response once that someone's antivirus was interfering with cata as well, though we've never gotten any other responses on that front since and I have no idea why it would be doing so, but it's something to potentially check out.

I took down a tankbot with bow and metal arrows at night but now I'm unable to disassemble it without taking massive pain for hours on end. Any way to disassemble without having the item in your inventory? It weighs at least 60 pounds more than I can carry.

Seems like I have garbage luck Butchering stuff on the ground. I'm not sure if it's just an inherent failur or based on a different skill or what, but clothes fail for me pretty often when I tried to do that.

I think very few clothes can actually be butchered on the ground. T-shirts I know, maybe some of the other clothes that are implied to be easily torn apart by hand or something.
