Gaaaaah. I keep. Forgetting. That skewers are a thing you craft from any wood item.

Is there a way to play on Kubuntu without compiling?
Wine, maybe?
There is a Linux version, is't there?

A .deb package is in progress, with any luck it'll be one of the download options for 0.B

EDIT: Also there are Linux flavors of the 'latest experimental' builds, I'd actually characterize cdda as a Linux game with a Windows port.

Barricaded a door with a sink?

The survivors are smoking way too much of the dope in those houses and they favor a Dude-style solution.

Concur.  As I understand the backstory--you'd know better, having been there--Whales wrote it for Linux and took convincing to port it to Windows.

I'm quite pleased to see greater variety in houses. Just saw a house with a very american flag pinned to a flagpole, and a Volkswagen Beetle parked in the driveway. Patriotism!

edit: And speaking of the Beetle, how long can 0% fuel last in that thing? It was at 1% when I found it, then after some zooming around squashing zombies it became 0%. I've since lost that character and made a new one, and found it again. And it's still 0%, and I just used it to effect my getaway from a particularly angry mob of zombies. Is there a way to see the exact amount of fuel in a car's tank without dismantling it?

Can siphon fuel out into a container and see how much there is.

Lightweight vehicles such as the Beetle can get surprisingly good mileage.  DDA's vehicle system is pretty player-friendly, all things considered.

Yeah, the Beetle was designed to be lightweight and have a gas sipping engine. I'm glad it wasn't renamed something dumb like "car". I was originally resistant to naming vehicles but it kinda grew on me. RIP fake company names like Fjord, Neesan, Honedah, Veshpa, and Yomaha. I named you well. Live on, Wolksvagen Bug (original name, do not steal). FLY FREEEEEE

I found an intact car in a garage on the outskirts of a size 4 town. I have since stripped it down to a 3x5 crafting hauler.

There's a steam roller next to a mine shaft near an ant hill. It's on so the ants are all pissed off about it.
