My view is don't change it unless you rewriting the function to fix something, and then change to 4 space indention (I wish it was tabs :() and make sure everything is const correct as much as possible.

Once most of the code has slowly switch we can just update the rest. The problem with just changing it all now is that people are working on different features and you get into merge hell issues easily.

You can't farm or build robots but the rest you should already be able to do.

You can leave NPC in a place and tell him to build some pit traps on the driveway while you are gone? I don't think that is possible, but I haven't played newer versions for a while...

That bit works :)

So I tried the static spawn option and it's so awesome that I only play static spawns now. The zombies are actually fun to take on now, and you have to get much more creative. You can actually carve out sections of the town, rather than having to drain the entire thing as a singular unit. I think it should become the default option, but it needs some work. You can not heal or find food and water fast enough while fighting a cougar, then Bear, then wolf pack every map tile. If you take time to heal, you will die of starvation/dehydration. The character needs to eat/drink twice as much as he should, which is less of an issue when in normal mode you can scavenge a starting stockpile of food/drink at the start and empty a town in day. The food/drink rate makes static spawns impossible to survive because it takes that much longer to clear out an area, then secure a fraction of the food/water and heal.

-Nailboard traps need to be a 0-skill trap you can make with a rock.
-Lawnmower machetes and halberds are a little underpowered.
-Nailboard weapon is possibly slightly overpowered, considering it becomes the defacto starting weapon and is still pretty good against most weapons you find shortly after.
-Steel spears should be made with steel wire, not string. Metric ton of wire available, few uses for said wire right now, makes more sense than string regarding durability and construction. Possibly only require one steak knife instead of two as well.
-Butcher's knife needs to be useable in some recipes. I don't think there's a single recipe that actually uses it. Xacto knife as well?
-Craftable sling and/or atlatl for throwing skill. No range bonus from skill, range bonus from sling/atlatl and strength.

I don't see the need for Nailboard trap at 0, what is your reasoning for wanting it to be so? The nailboard weapon on the other hand does seem to be my defualt weapon though that is more because I can always make one in the starting shelter.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Because it's so basic and easy to make IRL

I guess it depends on the type of nailboard trap it is supposed to be representing. It seems with the materials needed to make it there is a bit more going into the creation of the trap then just putting a board with some nails onto the ground.

Oh and for those who care I have another video up and it has lava in it

Then make two traps, one being the original board and the other being a basic nailed to the ground nail board. On that note, here should be more traps in houses. What are they doing in the outddoors where just anyone can spot them?

Tase is working on a tileset system, then Deon will be making tiles.

Fantastic! I'll really be able to get into the game then. Although I do infact love the ascii graphics, they're quite immersive, i just don't like having an @ to represent the pc, somehow it just breaks my immersion and connection to the character. Anyway, great work on DDA You guys, it's much appreciated and a ton of fun.

I'm finally doing decently in this game. Partially due to the efforts of one character who did what you're generally not supposed to do. Run around with a rifle blasting all the zombies. But she was quite effective at it and was able to loot many, many buildings before a poor decision on my part got her killed by a zombie hulk. My new character got to he safe house and is now in the process of actually getting somewhere. I have food and drink to last a few days, and might actually be able to try doing some construction. Maybe even get a vehicle.

It's nice to actually live longer than a day for a change.

Science labs crash my game a lot.  Build I'm playing on is compiled from whatever was on github around middle of yesterday.
